I saw this last night.

Evidently, FOX News and a few Republican assholes are "Weighing military intervention in Mexico."

Funny thing, nobody else seems to be.

I find it interesting that, given the real possibility of war with Russia, Republicans are busy trying to gin up conflict with China and/or Mexico. I mean, shit, we have real enemies that are really trying to wreck the global order America is nominally at the top of...and these motherfuckers are busy trolling for some non-white country to bomb??

If I had to guess, I'd say there's some big drug scandal that some high-profile Republican is balls deep in that's about to drop and they're looking to distract and spin, Operation Just Cause writ large, I guess.

Two problems with that, #1 Mexico is a hell of a lot bigger, with a hell of a lot more people and it's right next door. #2 We've been arming Mexico forever, but especially busy providing Mexico with all sorts of advanced weapons in the last 20 years or so because of the drug war.

Also, I have a feeling that if we tried to invade Mexico all these hostile groups would put aside their differences just to fuck us over, along with anybody they saw as selling out their country to us. I've known enough Mexican people down through the years and I know how the ones I know are. 

You'd have to be insane to want to start shit with the whole damn country.

You want to end the drug war and fuck over the Cartels but good? Start attacking the demand on the US side. Nothing will change for Latin America until our demand for narcotics is reduced.

But these fucking Republicans don't care about that. They don't even care that it's mostly "Conservative" white people in red states that are the ones dying from Fentanyl, Heroin and Opioids.

The same damn people who demand medieval Catholicism from the rest of us want to invade...one of the most Catholic and Christianized nations on the planet?? That doesn't compute.

And they want to distract from the Ukraine war, reduce aid, or at least force us to divide our attention so we can't help the Ukrainians as much because Republicans are basically dirty little Commies now, or something. It computes if you understand none of this shit is really about anything they say it's about.

And one of these things very much does feed into the other. It's bad code...but it's code.

The entire binary, machine-language source code for the whole goddamned modern "Conservative" movement at this point is bigotry, hatred of every imaginable kind, racism, sexism, you name it. And when that becomes socially unacceptable or gets driven back underground, they'll just make something else up. Trailer Park Rome demands the mob be fed blood. They don't care whose blood it is.

And they've been telling on themselves for a real damn long time, apparently. Fucking "White Citizens Council" cartoon from the 1950's mocking integration. Motherfuckers can't even do 2+2=4 without having "We're better than you" woven into the fibers of the paper the shit's written on. 

Like, OK, I get it. Some people are fanatics, or stupid, have various shorts in their mental wiring so the system will spit X =1 out as an answer no matter what variables you input.

For some people "X" just happens to equal "I hate [Racial Expletive Deleted]'s."

You cannot reason with that shit.

So you stop tolerating it.

Just sayin' it's been my personal experience that once somebody gets knocked the fuck out a couple times, sooner or later they'll either 'get it' and stop doing whatever it is...or at least they'll shut the fuck up about it so that bullshit doesn't get spread around as much.

Punch more Nazis, it's a public service.

A couple days ago, I saw a whole shit ton of American far-rightists and Russian trolls flipping out because a USAF B-52H Stratofortress teed up for a simulated missile launch against St. Petersburg. Basically, it's a routine training mission. You fly the aircraft to a certain waypoint on the map (Most likely unarmed, mind you) you run a program on the aircraft's computers and you do the launch checklist as if you had emergency war orders in hand, and then you fly home. Now, if the Russians had any working fighter jets at the moment, they'd be intercepting and then escorting the BUFF out of the area. So, that's an additional clock that the aircrew is working against on a normal day. We work both ends of this game all the time, so do our allies. So do the Russians. 

When you see some article about Air National Guard F-15's intercepting a Tu-95 Bear or Tu-160 Backfire off our own coast...that's the Russians running the same op we just did.

This is how we...and they...get and stay proficient.

And I've seen people freak the fuck out about it. Most often, the same people who thought JADE HELM was the Federal Government "Invading" Texas.

As if the government would have to invade land it already has full jurisdiction over?

I'm tired of these fucking people being ruled over by fear and learned helplessness. Sooner or later motherfuckers are gonna have to be brave and you can't just turn off the pants-shitting fear when it's convenient for those who gave it to you in the first place.

But of course, "Conservatives" expect the next war will be fought by other people anyway. They always do. How that works with their civil war rhetoric, I don't know.

They always demand other people pay the cost for their sins. They piously read Isaiah 53 in church, but then they wanna dump they bullshit on you.

Thing is, people who spread bigotry and conspiracy theories, fear and hate, and then demand segregation and wars for profit are not your friends either. The cult of Dis Pater, chthonic Roman deity of death and wealth...in truth wants your death for their wealth.

Sooner or later we're going to have to stop electing people to our government whose only beliefs worth mentioning are fear and hate. So get after it. 

You ain't gotta be these fucking people's sin-bearing servant. Let them take the spiritual (and otherwise) consequences of their own actions. They have no right to expect you to act like Jesus while they act like devils.

If you want a better nation, sooner or later you're going to have to be a better citizen.
