I saw this earlier tonight.
A couple of people affiliated with the trucker "Protest" in Ottawa attempted to set fire to an apartment building, and they also attempted to bar the door so people couldn't get out. Apparently, this happened because the building's residents have complained about the noise and obnoxious behavior of the "Protesters." The police are already investigating and the attempt was both observed and foiled by residents of the building. And that, right there, is how much these people believe in freedom. They want innocent people to die in fire and unimaginable pain because the people complained about their dumb shit childish behavior.
Think about that for a second, think about what the hell kind of god-awful person you'd even have to fucking be...
Their definition of "Freedom" is being free to commit mass murder.
Seriously, some dude killed his wife and then claimed trans panic and talked a bunch of stupid obvious Q-Anon bullshit...not because dude believed any of this in some kind of misguided good faith, but because he thought he might get away with it if he did.
I mean, it could just be plain old stupidity or ravening mental illness, but I suspect that's not what's going on here. Judging from the fact that he said he thought his wife was "Joe Biden's son who had a sex change and was a CIA agent" I'm going to call this a combination of malice and a ridiculous amount of narcissism.
I could be wrong, but I suspect I'm not. There is no moral bottom with these fucking people.
We absolutely cannot forget this.
Nor should we accept it.
I have in fact, seen people crack, and they do in fact sound a lot like this kind of dumb shit, but at the end of the day until they put conspiracy-theorism in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual I think it's a better idea to treat these Q-Anon crimes as nothing more and nothing less than criminal acts by debased people. Mental illness is scientifically verifiable, conspiracy theory horse shit is not.
This crazy shit is something that this dude wanted to believe. I just don't see any way it could be anything else.
Hell, I've been the person who cracked. I ain't never killed nobody over it. One doesn't...cannot...choose to have a personality disorder or be schizophrenic, but it absolutely is a choice to believe in conspiracy theories or not. It's also a choice to act out violently or do crimes based on this stuff, or not to. This garbage is being spread by bad actors with malice aforethought.
Think about this stuff, for a second, go ahead.
And my ex-wife has borderline personality disorder, is Pentecostal, and has over the last several years turned into a whacked-out conspiracy theorist. So it's not like I don't have experience with this bullshit.
Except she's still not a Q-Nut or a Trump Supporter, to my knowledge.
But she absolutely has become one of those people who ran Jesus out of His own End Times story and replaced Him with nothing but Antivaxxer woo. Whether it's right or wrong, I can tell you what the Bible says about where my ex-wife is going in the afterlife because of it.
I've not spoken with her about this and I have no plans to, but if other people I've met who've done the same are any indication, she won't care. Getting Biblical with these people about these false prophecies and other stuff does no good. It's functionally irrelevant. Deep down, they've chosen what they want to believe in.
And it ain't Jesus.
But Jesus makes a good excuse, and talking about Jesus might fool the feeble-minded and get Man's approval for your shitty behavior, so there's that.
At best, it's fear and selfishness and idiots thinking they're the protagonist of Reality and should get to control what other people do.
It's repugnant...but again, not everybody acts on this bullshit. Most people like this just vote Republican and watch Fox News.
At worst it's lust for control and power and active moves to secure such things, by dishonest means and without the consent of other people.
Fundamentally this shit is nothing more than mass spiritual rape, for financial and political profit.
These are people who want to burn down America, start a second Civil War and shoot their neighbors for no damned good reason, these are people who, given the chance, would gladly kill American soldiers, overthrow the government, get rid of the Constitution and your freedom and rights and then impose...basically, whatever the fuck they damned well feel like...by fiat. Because all this shit is about is power.
They don't want to help you, they don't want to make America more Christian...much less a better place. They don't want to save the world. None of this was ever about that. These fuckers just want to kill and steal, and they would rather hate than eat.
And then, still they rationalize that it's somebody else's fault and they're somehow the good guys.
I don't give a damn how much you say you believe in Jesus, if this is the kind of stuff you believe...your real god is you and I would tell you that to your face and dare you to do something about it.
And then they'd join the other side, especially if it would annoy the neighbors that they disagree with about things like "Should Black people get to vote" or "Should poor children get to eat."
These people spreading this stuff are not men, but devils. And what they desire is for you to go to hell with them. They know it's a lie, they revel in the power of the lie and would like nothing more than for more people to believe in the lie and be damned before God and Man because to them, lies mean power and power means "Righteousness" of a sort and might buy them what they imagine to be Heaven, but right here on Earth.
They have to have it that way, because they don't believe in the real thing that exists in the afterlife. I would be willing to bet that, deep down, most of these people believe when you die it's just all over, and that there's no afterlife in which to face consequences, that 'God's Law" is nothing more than words to manipulate the gullible here in this world.
Nobody acts more like the Afterlife or God or religion in general is all crap, fit only to manipulate fools and otherwise be laughed at than the "Conservatives" and too many of these "Christians" do..
And I say all this as somebody who doesn't even identify as a Christian anymore.
Because these people have taken the Christian church and turned it into a den of iniquity and a house of Devils and foul spirits.
And these same people have taken the legacy of Abraham Lincoln, of Dwight Eisenhower, and of Ronald Reagan and George Bush and sold it to Vladimir Putin.
These are people who'd cheerfully start World War Q for no better reason than they think it's funny.
And then they'd join the other side, especially if it would annoy the neighbors that they disagree with about things like "Should Black people get to vote" or "Should poor children get to eat."
These idiots want to burn down America and the world because of things like Black History Month displays in the local Target and stuff like that, and because the world is changing.
Too fucking bad, I say. Deal with it.
These people are not men, but devils.
If you want a better country, you have to be a better citizen. You have to stand up.
You have to love your freedom more than they love their hate.
And then you have to fight to defend it.
