King Trump (Why Nixonland Has Fallen, Three.)

We have become a Nazi monster in the eyes of the whole world, a nation of bullies and bastards who would rather kill than live peacefully. We are not just Whores for power and oil, but killer whores with hate and fear in our hearts. We are human scum, and that is how history will judge us. No redeeming social value. Just whores. Get out of our way, or we'll kill you. Who does vote for these dishonest shitheads? Who among us can be happy and proud of having all this innocent blood on our hands? Who are these swine? These flag-sucking half-wits who get fleeced and fooled by stupid little rich kids like George Bush? They are the same ones who wanted to have Muhammad Ali locked up for refusing to kill gooks. They speak for all that is cruel and stupid and vicious in the American character. They are the racists and hate mongers among us; they are the Ku Klux Klan. I piss down the throats of these Nazis. And I am too old to worry about whether they like it or not. Fuck them.

"The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride."

~Volodymyr Zelenskyy, allegedly 25 February 2022, Associated Press

I saw this earlier today.

Some MAGA idiot at the last Trump rally, literally calling Trump a "King."

And I've been, like "What the fuck?" ever since.

You're either an American or you're not.

I guess Republicanism really is dead.

I mean, literally, the definition of a Republic is "a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch."

This is America. We don't do kings here. This is not up for debate and we fought two wars over it.

I don't even know what the fuck is wrong with these people and I used to be a Republican.

Of course, these fucking people are mad that Trump keeps getting indicted and arrested for, ya know, literal crimes.

If they really liked Trump...as a person...they should be thrilled that he gets a trial, because in most countries if you try to overthrow the government, you end up dead

Seriously, try this bullshit in any of the countries that still have absolute monarchs, they'll just have you beheaded, or hanged, or shot.

And I find it funny, indeed, how many of the Autocracy-stans never mention that.

In a lot of more coup-prone countries, the powers that be won't bother with such civilized niceties as a trial, let alone as Constitutionally fair or speedy of a trial as Trump is going to get...indeed is automatically entitled to per our highest laws.

There's people around the world who'd gladly kill to have our levels of constitutional protections, freedom, etc. In fact, people who don't have freedom longing for it and fighting for it is a pretty regular occurrence. It takes a spoiled ignorant-ass American to not appreciate this shit!

"Conservatives" and Republicans are not some automatic ruling class, and well they actually know it. The wealthy are absolutely terrified that the people who work for them have as much of a vote as they do. That both groups keep trying to connive ways to make their power automatic and themselves a ruling class...and too many others will not do their duty and smack that shit down...is the root of a lot of our fucking problems.

Never mind that such "ruling classes" often eventually come to particularly bad ends after bloody revolutions. That doesn't fit the "Conservative" world-view. I mean, seriously, you should have seen the Monarchy-stans come out the woodwork on Twitter when Anthony Blinken Tweeted about Bastille Day.

Fun fact...a raging shit-ton of these morons were apparently American Protestants. Some people think Monarchy is somehow "Christian" and "Conservative" therefore "good" and that freedom, (small-L) liberalism and secularism are thus "bad."

I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of these jackoffs know precisely fuck-all about what it was actually like to be a Protestant in pre-Revolution France, particularly in the 16th and 17th centuries.

There's a reason there were communities of Acadians (originally French Huguenots, a sect of mostly Calvinist Protestants) from Quebec all the way down to what became New Orleans (and, around the world, in places like South Africa.) The French just kicked those people out...the ones they didn't kill, anyway. To this day, the areas of France where Protestantism is strong are those where central-government power was weaker back in the day.

Protestantism was not fully legalized until after the Revolution, and it still had to contend with Catholic dominance until 1905 when full separation of church and state was finally enacted. Today, Protestantism is growing in France, and Catholicism is in decline.

That kind of shit is what Autocracy and Monarchy are, and they sure can have a long hangover, but it's funny how things always seem to get better when people are free to make their own choices and do so in good faith.

The only reason we even have this bullshit is a bunch of really stupid Americans think in such cases they'd be the "Ruling Class" along with a particularly bad-faith idea that they'd get to fuck over everybody else.

But here's the thing; If Authoritarianism, Dictatorship, Monarchy etc. are such good things...why are so many people around the world fighting against it?

Why is it, invariably, that the only people who end up supporting this bullshit are the beclowned and moronic wealthy, grasping manipulators, those with bad character or ravening mental illness, and resentful petty bourgeoisie types??

America is America...and mind you, we've often by means of example and soft power remade much of the world in our image...because people got tired of kings and idiotic, incestuous nobilities. The guillotine, the Hammer and Sickle, and revolutionaries of every spectrum in between remain enduring symbols for a fucking reason. I'm not saying the Revolution is always good, but it's usually a far more enduring symbol than what came before.

Che Guevara is and remains a cultural icon across the world for a reason. The Bolivian and US military personnel who hunted him down...not so much.

The fact that Republicans eventually dumbed their own politics down to the point where they basically got some dumbass White American to say "Why Yes, Madame Antoinette, I WILL eat cake and I will like it!" is precisely why Nixonland has fallen.

This wasn't inflicted by some outside force. Republicans did this to themselves, with malice aforethought...thinking it'd hurt the rest of us more.

But addicting their voter base to stronger and stronger levels of hate is going to end badly for Republicans. Sooner or later, the rest of us are literally going to have to squash this bullshit, or we die.

Casting yourselves as the majoritarian, ravening populist mob while behaving like the out-of-touch elitist Queen while by turns feeding the mob and some narcissistic dickbag isn't some genius move...it's...one of these things is simply not like the other one.

Nobody wants a "King" but you.

Remember that, "Conservatives" before you make your next moves.

History Will Absolve Me. ~Fidel Castro

Слава Україна!

If the current polls are reliable... Nixon will be re-elected by a huge majority of Americans who feel he is not only more honest and more trustworthy than George McGovern, but also more likely to end the war in Vietnam. The polls also indicate that Nixon will get a comfortable majority of the Youth Vote. And that he might carry all fifty states... This may be the year when we finally come face to face with ourselves; finally just lay back and say it — that we are really just a nation of 220 million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns, and no qualms at all about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable. The tragedy of all this is that George McGovern, for all his mistakes... understands what a fantastic monument to all the best instincts of the human race this country might have been, if we could have kept it out of the hands of greedy little hustlers like Richard Nixon. McGovern made some stupid mistakes, but in context they seem almost frivolous compared to the things Richard Nixon does every day of his life, on purpose... Jesus! Where will it end? How low do you have to stoop in this country to be President? ~Hunter S. Thompson, Fear And Loathing on the Campaign Trail.
