That is when I first began to reappraise the "white man." It was when I first began to perceive that "white man," as commonly used, means complexion only secondarily; primarily it described attitudes and actions.
In America, "white man" meant specific attitudes and actions toward the black man, and toward all other non-white men. But in the Muslim world, I had seen that men with white complexions were more genuinely brotherly than anyone else had ever been. That morning was the start of a radical alteration in my whole outlook about "white" men. ~Malcolm X, letter written following the Hajj.Lauren Blowbert said this morning "There will be no New World Order on my watch."
Interesting, given that the phrase "New World Order" entered mainstream political currency in 1991 when George H.W. Bush, a Republican, used it to describe his vision of the Post-Cold War way of things, you know, the expected triumph of small-L, small-D liberal democracy. In other words, what we as a people had officially been fighting for, for over 40 years at that point.
Also today, while Republicans continued to make absolute goddamn fucking jackasses out of themselves in the KBJ Confirmation Hearings, Sen. Mike Braun of Indiana said that "States should get to decide if interracial marriage should be legal."
Loving vs. Virginia, the relevant SCOTUS decision here was decided in 1967. For longer than I've even been alive, interracial marriage has been not just legal...but no big deal and for the most part something that only a few old racist ass clowns ever even cared about.
I'm a middle-aged white dude. I've dated interracially plenty of times, a couple of those relationships were long-term, My Mom met a couple of those girlfriends.
And I'm here to tell you, if Donald Trump had talked about a "New World Order" and about it being based on his racism and submission to the "authority" of people like Vladimir Putin, these same old white motherfuckers giving KBJ a bad time for no good goddamn reason would've been all for it. Lauren Blowbert would've been Tweeting enthusiastically about it for months.
I quoted Malcolm X for a fucking reason. You know why these same fucking people, or their parents in Blowbert's case, were so enthusiastic about the Global War On Terror? Because they overwhelmingly figured the enemy was going to be Brown people. Because they saw the Soldier making $30,000 a year firing a $175,203 shoulder-launched missile at a position manned by Taliban fighters whose combined lifetime earnings would never have equaled the cost of the missile that killed them all as an expression of "American Power."
Yet these same people have issues with those same FGM-148 Javelin missiles being donated, given or sold to Ukraine so that the Ukrainians can fight for freedom and see it as an expression of the "New World Order."
They do this because in their minds, Russia in general and Vladimir Putin in particular somehow has come to represent White Male Authoritarianism and "Traditional" family roles and "Masculinity."
It's the same kind of stupid reasoning that's why Marsha Blackburn is suddenly railing against contraception...and a court ruling from 1965. I'm here to tell you, I used to be a conservative and I've been practicing safe sex and using condoms for as long as I've been having sex.
It's not really about not having kids, it's not about sex, or sexual orientation or Transgender stuff. Those are just excuses. It's really about the fact that These Fucking People are opposed to self-determination in all its forms in every single aspect of life. That's why they'll happily prostrate themselves before a goddamn KGB Agent. They think they're being edgy and revolutionary by spitting on their parents' accomplishments, or something.
Well, also the High Priest Of Satan likely laughed at them and told them to go fuck themselves.
And here's your daily reminder that in the same way as the Republicans are bringing out the Klan Hoods and using the Cross of Christ as nothing more than a flaming lawn ornament, over there, the Russians are back to flying the Hammer And Sickle.
In other words, if you don't think the "War On Terror" was racially based, at least for a lot of these people, you have another thing coming.
It's just that simple, and that complicated. But don't take my word for it, these fucking people are telling you all this stuff themselves. Not just with their words, but by their actions.
They don't care about anything, they just want to bow down before Power. They think by doing so, by making some kind of a contract with it, they will get Power themselves.
They don't give a good goddamn if that means bowing down to a literal Communist who's explicitly forming a New Soviet Union, or saluting a flag their fathers and grandfathers despised and literally fought against. It's not about that anymore.
The anti-liberalism is just an excuse.
Like, there's this guy who participated in the 1/6 insurrection, who sold his grungy, shitty house in a Bay Area suburb for $1.3 MILLION and when he was charged...and likely facing a prison sentence measured in days, weeks or months for six criminal charges...he snuck out of the US and sought asylum in Belarus. I'm sure they gave it to him just for the propaganda value from which Lukashenka might benefit.
Do I have to tell you what happens if you try and overthrow the government in Belarus? They're not very creative, you get shot.
Honestly, if I had $1.3 Million I would have just stayed, ridden out the legal troubles, done my time and consoled myself by sleeping on a bed made out of a large pile of my money after I got out of jail.
I mean, seriously, with that much money you can likely hire a good enough lawyer to get the conviction vacated and the records sealed if you stay out of trouble for a few years and maybe say the right things t the hearing.
Belarus doesn't have anything like that. I mean, his million bucks will probably go further there, but he's going to have to spend a lot of it bribing people and shit.
But hey, a petty, venal dictator and a shit-hole of a country is the future these fucking people think they want.
And the reason they think they want it, is they figure if that's what they get, they won't have to deal with no Black lady being on no Supreme Court. And they think all the government officials will do what they want, look like them, and practice whatever they think their "culture" even is.
Again, it's as simple as that.
They think if they believe in it hard enough and capture enough political power, they can force everybody to be a Republican, whatever that even means anymore.
Little do they know, in switching their cult-like worship from Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin, they're setting themselves up for a future where if he wins these wars (unlikely) or helps them to break off a piece of America for themselves (an outcome I do see as likely) their kids will be forced to learn Russian in school, they may be forced to convert to Orthodox Christianity, and in the end they...like the guy who moved to Belarus and sought asylum there...will likely end up wishing they hadn't.
But of course, you can't tell these fucking people anything.
And half the problem is they'll never admit why they're even doing it.
Just remember, they can't wait to tell on themselves and they're not even smart enough to know that's what they're doing when they talk stupid in these hearings.
And that's exactly why the cruelty is the point, too.
That's why "Z" is the new "MAGA."
I'm serious, if the "New World Order" was led by Vladimir Putin and meant that these fucking people could be racist and kill other human beings, they would be all for it.
Remember that, because there's going to be a test, soon.
