Fallout (Z-Publicans, Four.)

If you haven't heard, Confirmation hearings for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's Supreme Court nomination started today.

And pretty much, since they started a disproportionate amount of my social media feed has been taken up by the fact that Republicans are being complete fucking jackasses about the whole thing, because they're still mad that Brett Kavanaugh faced some pretty hard questioning about alcohol abuse and sexual assault allegations.

I don't know, Republicans...maybe if you can't stand the heat, stay out of the fucking kitchen?

Ya know, I'm a middle-aged white guy, former Christian, former Republican, among other things. And I'm sick of these fucking assholes. They're still real damn mad about something that happened going on four years ago now.

And what was that? What did the Democrats do that was so bad?

They asked some hard questions about the cruel stupidity and substance abuse of a mediocre white dude being nominated to a post that he probably didn't belong in, in the first goddamned place.

I'm frankly tired of Republicans fetishizing the Supreme Court and somehow thinking it's their turf while then bitching and whining that people see the current SCOTUS as nothing more than a partisan shit-show...when that's exactly what Republicans have gone out of their way to turn it into because they don't want anybody who really has any principles other than fascism and worship of raw power...or anybody who knows anything, for that matter, in a position of power.

I'm sick of these fucking people and their endless contempt for the rest of us.

I'm sorry, but I think anybody nominated for a position in government should be given the third degree by somebody, I don't give a good goddamn if you're a mediocre white dude that's somebody's buddy so you got nominated, or that's wanted in a position because you're an otherwise useless political hack, or not. 

In fact, I think those kind of people should get it worse because adversity and hard questions can often show what kind of a person somebody is...and isn't that something we as citizens of a democratic country deserve to know about people in our government?

And you know what? The horrible thing here is that Brett Kavanaugh is still probably less of a piece of shit useless political toady than Clarence Thomas has turned out to be. Not by much, but he's also less quiet about it.

I mean, I get that Republicans think being a Republican means they should get whatever they want, like the spoiled rich little shits they too-often are.

Fuck these motherfuckers.

And it's not like Republicans, collectively, aren't going out of their way to the point of ridiculous these days to prove that whoever said "The Cruelty Is The Point" was right.

Former Missouri governor Eric Greitens evidently abused his ex-wife and children, according to an affidavit made public today.

And this just might sink his campaign for Senate. 

But, at the same time, it'll probably also catapult him to rock-star status on the Aggrieved Asshole Trump-Rally circuit and he'll end up with a Fox News show or whatever where he makes more money and has less responsibility.

Republicanism as it exists now is little more than a narcissistic, thin-skinned cult of cruelty that gets mad unless it's viewed as a paragon of righteousness and ya know, they really don't give a damn that so much of their voter base is the same exact way.

"New World Order" is currently a trending topic on Twitter right now.

And I'm still seeing various "Conservatives" defending Putin and Russia and pushing all type of stupid conspiracy theories about Ukraine and the West. 

I'm seeing this even though the Russian Army is still getting it's ass kicked by the Ukrainian Army and they've taken around 10,000 casualties.

Yeah, the Ukrainians have taken a lot of casualties too, but since they've followed NATO/Western combat medical practices and casualty evacuation procedures as best they can, it's not as bad for them. 

Still, "Conservatives" are beating off to the fact that there's a body count at all. They don't really care who's it is or doing the dying in what they see as the pursuit of their conspiracy theory fever dream garbage.

And oh yes, it gets so much worse than that.

Notice the Tweet about Putin that was at the top of the trending list. So far as I know, none of this stuff is actually true but you can't tell these fucking people anything

Especially that one of the big reasons Putin has allegedly turned into a paranoid recluse living in a bunker in the Urals, who sits at the end of the Coming To America breakfast table where people need an intercom to talk to each other is because he's both paranoid of getting COVID-19 and too proud to take the Western vaccines for it.

But Putin gives oxygen to and legitimizes their bigotry and conspiracy theories, so they don't really care what's actually true or not.

Motherfuckers still believe. And they gonna go on believing.

And they'll go right on believing until young Slavic men with AK-74's who are flying this flag (which was once they absolute boogeyman of the "New World Order" nuts) break down their doors, steal their stuff and take their freedom away. And then...only then...they might wake up. 

More likely, they won't, and they'll laugh bitterly about some Black or Gay or liberal or moderate conservative person they don't like being shot down in the street for actually picking up a weapon and fighting back against invaders. 

Why?

Like I've been saying, "Z" is the new "#MAGA."

Because among other things, freedom and self-determination don't actually matter to these fucking people anymore. And I'm a former Republican myself, like I said. So it pisses me off that I have to say that.

Because Putin's cruelty and paranoia feeds and legitimizes their own cruelty, paranoia, and their savage fantasies. And it's the same with fascism, racism, and every other goddamned thing. And if you think they won't crow bitterly about the coming conflict with Russia, and then join the other side, especially if it gets really bad or even goes nuclear...you have another thing coming.

And they'll do it until they die.

Because The Cruelty Is The Fucking Point.

That's why, and that's the only reason. 

Anymore, that's basically why Republicans do anything.

If we lose freedom here, there is no place to escape to. This is the last stand on Earth. And this idea that government is beholden to the people, that it has no other source of power except to sovereign people, is still the newest and most unique idea in all the long history of man's relation to man.
