I feel like America is dying, not just from the virus, although that is certainly a catalyst.
No, we are dying of conspiracy theories, partisanship, and downright stupidity all infecting a bit over a third of our population.
Far too many Americans no longer want life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, instead, they want commercialism, they feel entitled to have nothing but good feelings and they desire to have other people serve them so that they can feel powerful.
And these fucking people are willing to shoot people over this crap. Functionally, America is dying from the selfishness of some of its people.
And if you don't think there's evil motherfuckers out there who are willing to exploit the fact that these people are so fucking stupid you have another thing coming.
We have people at this point who are so blinded by anger, bigotry, hate, partisanship, racism and sexism that they are not just willing to shoot down their neighbors, but I honestly think they would be willing to clap themselves in irons and be slaves because experts and historians, liberals and moderates, said we believed in freedom.

Including, apparently, hatred for the very people whose job it is to keep people alive in the midst of this crisis. I really do not get how some people's response to this mess is hate for doctors, nurses, medical professionals and public health experts. Who the fuck do they think is going to keep them alive?!

Anti-Vaccine bullshit appears to have fully merged with the MAGAfghanistan idiocy, I'm not sure how, but I think mostly because this is a lot of people's first personal crisis, so of course they think it MUST by definition be the end of the world or something, and of course the primary effective measures to fight this thing have been judged to be "Liberal" and require modern medicine and science rather than woo woo something something Gazpacho that their primitive minds could understand, so they've grabbed onto Trump and their assorted unrealities all the harder, because what else can they do?
Therefore, because they apparently believe that they can not be wrong, anything...no matter what it actually is...that contradicts this bullshit simply cannot be real to these fucking people. Never mind that Jesus...the actual spiritual entity...doesn't have to give a shit what this guy thinks and could simply drop him right into the Abyss and bye, asshole! Nope, this motherfucker is so convinced that he's the center of the universe that he'd deny Christ if Christ showed up and said hey, here's a vaccine, buddy. Be healthy and safe! Show me again, where it says anything about vaccines in the Bible? Much less where it says they're bad. Vaccines weren't invented yet when the Bible was written you fucking dumb shit!

I've seen Star Wars. I know how that ends. Hell, Mark Hamill is rather well known for being anti-Trump. You'd think these fucking people would...I don't know, have some awareness of...something, anything? Fuck, I got nothing, although from what I hear the Trump campaign has spent billions to try to boost Trump and the numbers have barely moved in three years, and these people got kicked in the nuts by a small group of Never-Trump Republicans with a relatively small budget the other day, and responded by talking about them endlessly, which caused the offending Project Lincoln ad to be seen by like 15 million people and the group to raise millions of dollars in about a day. At this point, I think the Star Wars allegories write themselves...and when you consider just how many millions of dollars Brad Parscale and people like him have made off the Trump campaign, I think the odds are pretty good that the Star Wars comparisons will keep right on coming, except that these people are far more the Hutt crime cartel than they are the Empire.
Except, the difference it, it's really starting to seem like they could care less about money, except for maybe rich people's money. It's not even about power, except maybe preserving Trump's hold on power for a little longer, they don't actually seem to notice, or care, that their power base is slowly slipping away.
It's about destruction, and the giving of all power and wealth to the cult leaders...because they think said cult leaders will rearrange society based on loyalty to the cult instead of ya know, doing what cult leaders do and just taking it all for themselves. They want to destroy what has gone before because, well, to be honest lately these people seem like they're really mad because they think the rest of the world was holding out on them or not giving them their due, without any consideration that maybe it's because they're fucking losers and "their due" was precisely jack shit in the first place.
I mean seriously, how many of the big time Trump Supporters would we have ever heard of if they weren't big-time Trump Supporters?!
I'm pretty sure without Donald Trump, Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman wouldn't be known as low-rent Roger Stone wannabes, Jacob would be working at a Burger King somewhere and nobody would know who he was and Jack would be shitty middle management someplace until he got fired for leaving his fly open during some important meeting or something and these fucking people wouldn't have just tried to get their ex-girlfriends or whoever to try to slime Dr. Fauci...because chances were they'd have never bothered to learn who Dr. Fauci was.
But in a way, that's the root of the problem we find ourselves in. Lots of Americans are almost ridiculously ignorant and provincial in terms of their outlook on the world...but goddamn it, they sure think they ought to be waited on like kings and princes!
These fucking people act as if they believe they are God.
And they're not.
But they're going to find that out soon.
And when they do, in their anger, they are going to try to kill as many people as possible, because they're mad that they didn't get what they wanted, because women had careers instead of being their slaves, because their egos weren't massaged by the whole damn world every day.
Yes, I know what the Bible says about people like that.
The thing is, they don't care, and they never did. All any of that stuff ever was to them was a means to gain power because they wanted women to have to fuck them.
And now that they're finding out they can't get that kind of power, let alone keep it, that reality won't dance to their tune, they're going to try and take it out on as many of the rest of us as they can.
But like begets like, violence begets more violence, and I'm not certain that these privileged assholes have thought that part through yet. These fucking idiots are trying to spark an inferno in the middle of a pandemic. Conservatives literally want millions of people to die. They aren't even trying to hide it.
As the saying goes, be careful what you wish for, for you may get it.
