The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascends for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name.

Like, some idiot at The Federalist accused Dolly Parton of spreading a False Gospel yesterday, simply because she doesn't hate LGBT people, or something, and because "Conservatives" think decency or kindness is for suckers or some shit like that.

These assholes are incapable of imagining that anybody could, ya know, not be an asshole. And no, this isn't for any kind of philosophical or religious reason...it's just assholes trying to justify themselves by thinking everybody else is just like them. They're Republicans, their entire bit is "Everybody is evil and everything is bad, You're alone in the middle of a Lost And Dying World, Vote for us." Like, the fuck WHY?? What's even the goddamn point?? What do these fuckers even get up in the morning for?? I mean, seriously, it's depressing to even look at.

Like, If I was still one of these fucking people, I wouldn't still be here.

And yet, these motherfuckers demand to be treated as some great moral force...while shit-talking a lady who's used a hell of a lot of her own money to improve the lives of other people.

But that, right there, is the actual core issue, isn't it?? Republicans are literally mad that other people exist.

Republicans think people should be burned at the stake simply for not being Republicans.

Martha-Ann Alito is madder than a wet hen because somebody a good ways off across the lagoon is flying a Rainbow Flag during Pride Month.

I mean, like what the fuck?? I get that Martha-Ann is just a bitter old church busybody, but hasn't she ever heard of just minding her own goddamn business??

I wonder, if Jesus showed up wearing a Pride flag for a cape, would this bitch drink the Wine of the Wrath of God slowly, or would she just chug that shit??

For people like her and her husband, the hate seems to literally be the fucking point.

Seems like, ya know, just accepting the modern world would be easier. Yes, if you don't agree with or like something, then you still can just shake your damn head and walk on by. I do it all the time. The Lord's Word basically says yes, you can just shake the dust off your sandals and move on if your beliefs aren't accepted.

Not everything has to be, or even should be, treated as some kind of existential fight.

I get that a lot of these motherfuckers are just...conflict-oriented motherfucking religious fanatics. To them, the fight's the point. It's all they want or understand. 

But it seems to me like...considering that there's multiple houses between here and my work with Black Lives Matter Signs and/or Pride flags and even more with Ukrainian flags and I live in the epitome of rural small-city White America northern Michigan in a Republican House district...that the appropriate turn of phrase here is "You Lost, Get Over It."

The world has, for the most part, moved on from your bullshit stupid hang-ups, Republicans.

Yet again, these fucking people's whole damn bit is that they can't or more likely just won't get over it.

Fundamentally, Republicans are pissed that they can't just go out and hurt and oppress other people. Make no mistake about it, that's exactly what's going on here.

It's not enough to have a $5-MILLION house, more money than some small countries, and every possible comfort and gadget known to Man and the freedom to do whatever they damn well please...they have to make sure that somebody else doesn't...indeed, that they legally cannot, or these fucking people get soggy and hard to light.

This crap has become so endlessly dumb and tediously puerile that awhile back, it got to not be any fun to write about, and I started to wonder if any of these ass-clowns had grandmothers. Why? 

Because if I'd have acted this way as a kid or teenager, one of mine would've just smacked me in the back of the head repeatedly until I stopped doing this kind of shit. Like, one of her favorite hyperbolic threats was "I'm gonna beat you all the way to Escanaba." My Grandma on the other side wasn't too big on ass whuppins but if you pissed her off, she'd grab you by the ear and you damn well did what she said or went where she told you to go at that point.

My Grandparents on my Mom's side were relatively apolitical and usually voted to cancel each other out (That Grandpa was a Democrat, but the conservative kind) part of that was being a military (That Grandpa was also a retired Naval Aviator) family and part of that was my Grandma's occasionally aggressively contrarian nature (She was the Ross Perot Stan in our family in 1992l) But there was a certain level of basic morality, loyalty to country and respect for society that was expected, not negotiable, and not contingent on who held political power. To give you a bit of insight on who they were, my Grandpa's favorite singer was Johnny Cash, and my Grandpa also instilled in me his love of lyric phrase and poetry.

My grandparents on my Dad's side, different Service (My Grandpa  was an Air Force enlisted man who spent his career working on B-29's, B-47's and-mostly-B-52's) but similar backgrounds. They were Democrats, but not especially political about it, and for most of my life hardly Liberals with a Capital "L"...except for my one uncle that I mentioned a few posts back...but, like me, he and my aunt get the urgency of our current situation. It's from them that I got an appreciation of some of my other favorite old-school artists, Gordon Lightfoot, John Denver, and yes, Dolly Parton

If I'd ever have flown a US flag upside down, I'd have caught hell from both sides, and I'd have deserved it.

Some things are supposed to be more important than political partisanship, and among other things nobody ever taught me that religion was supposed to be all political.

(Of course, I say that knowing that modern Republicans try to make everything political to keep their voters amped up all the time. I can't be amped up all the time or my mental state goes to hell, so that doesn't work for me.)

But then, I come from the kind of environment where, when I was that age a kid I knew got caught drawing a Swastika in his school notebook...in a public school...and got paddled by the Principal, suspended, and the parents had to come have a meeting at the school before the little shit could come back. He never tried anything like that, ever again.

As a kid and teenager I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, then on the edge of the Detroit area, then Orange County, California and then Northern (Lower) Michigan. In the 1970's and 1980's these were not exactly places overflowing with Liberals. 

Today, the (conservative) beliefs I was taught put me well into the spectrum of people who vote Democratic. I'm not exactly the biggest fan or Joe Biden, but I'll vote Ain't Trump for as long as it takes and right now that means voting for Joe.

And there's a lot of people like me, and Republicans be mad about it.

Also, Now we live in a world where people like Elon Musk openly talk Nazi shit.

Think about that for a second.

And now we got people in Texas who think they're gonna be some kind of Christianized version of the fucking Taliban.

The world those fucking people want to live in is basically the Killing Fields of Khmer Rouge Cambodia, but with a mall.

And it seems evident to me, that sooner or later the divisiveness and political disputes forced on this country mainly by the unreasonableness of Republicans are going to come down to a fight.

No, Liberals, you are not going to win over people who want to form ad hoc anti-Abortion militias and enforce some king of MAGA-Christianized Purdah on women in Texas with policy proposals

In the face of shit like that, the absolute bovine apathy and obliviousness of some fucking people just baffles me. If we're being honest, I see those people as just as much or more of a threat as I do the actual fascists.

Sometimes, you have to punch a bully right in the mouth.

Sometimes, you have to have a basic survival instinct.

And it doesn't really matter to me if you want to kill people with apathy and confusion out of arrogance, selfishness or shirking your duty as a citizen or if you want to do it with an AR-15 because you're an actual fascist wannabe murderer hopped up on ideology and religion and an even worse brand of selfishness.

For the dead, the end result is the same.

And if we as a society don't get a fucking grip and stop this shit, we're going to end up with Americans shooting at each other no matter how the election goes, and we're going to end up with a hell of a lot more dead people.

So it basically comes down to "Do you want these fucking people, the Martha and Sam Alito's of the world, to have state backing in their revolt against modernity, or don't you??"

To those assholes, Trump is just a means, not the end. They'll do worse.

But most of the fucking people doing this shit are the same ones who couldn't or wouldn't do what it took to fight a virus that couldn't shoot back, four years ago.

Just sayin' diseases thrive off of things like societal breakdown and wars.

So my guess is, if it comes down to a fight...which is what MAGA thinks they want...they'll lose.

But people who should not have died will still have died.

And I don't think I'll ever understand why people don't care about that.

Why is ideology, and specifically the perpetuation of bigotry, more important than life is, to these fucking people??

The Killing Fields have a way of not caring who dies in them, I'd think about that before proceeding, Republicans. I really would.

And if any of y'all Democrats care about any of the things you say you do, it's getting to the point where it's either you fight for them, or you don't.

Republicans have become a Murder-cult and think they have a suicide pact with the American Experiment. They'd rather burn down America and destroy themselves than see everybody be free.

You either believe in freedom or you don't, you either believe your own life is worth fighting for...or you just end up dead and whatever squeaky-clean mental image you think you have of yourself just gets trampled in the mud.
