Also, the only places that claim that kind of shit now are a few of the Gulf Arab states and while they still have such laws on the books...principally as punishment for adultery, rather than homosexuality...they are not used.

I find it really interesting that these fucking people will obsessively read the Bible for harsh punishments, but not for anything like "Love Thy Neighbor" nor the canceling of debts, nor the freeing of slaves and note the Bible dedicates entire chapters to this stuff, and such admonitions and commands are not restricted to the New Testament. Meanwhile, there's like four verses that are against homosexuality. And maybe it's just me, but I was taught to read the whole of the Word and consider it in its totality rather than to just cherry-pick that which benefits my opinions.

Yeah, I get it, "Conservatives" like to go after stuff they think their people don't do, and they're utterly obsessed with Punishment and Sin. Hell, most of them don't even read the Word. But, given how many of these assholes think about gay stuff more than actual gay people do...and what that, in practice, usually means (That the dude knows the location of every Glory Hole or gay prostitute within 100 Klicks of his house and has them all categorized.) I'm honestly wondering if Charlie Kirk has something to hide, here.

Honestly, at this point I think it's less that these assholes "Don't want to live in the modern world" than "These motherfuckers would think Ancient Rome, or even Byzantium in the grip of Iconoclastic mania, was too Woke." And likewise, I find it interesting that the reason for all this crap arising is Donald Trump...a man who the only reasons I can't say for certain he's an Atheist is that #1 He wouldn't know what that word meant if you read the goddamned definition to him, and #2 That Trump seems to think that he, himself, is God.

And his followers seem to agree, which is exactly how I know it's all crap. Christianity without Christ is just empty religiosity that the same Bible these idiots keep pounding on says has no purpose and will send one straight to Hell.

So all this religious mania surrounding Trump means precisely jack shit. It's not Christianity, it's Antichristianity. Trump is an Antichrist...literally the opposite of Christ in deed and word, and these fucking people follow after him like they think he's the real deal...which, by the way, is also straight out of Revelation.

I had that figured out when Elon Musk started talking about putting computer chips in people's heads. Like, I'd long suspected that these fucking idiots would gladly follow after the Beast of Revelations itself if they thought it was right-wing...but that just gave the game completely away.

Because the truth is, all these assholes care about is exercising Power in this life. (And "Power In This Life" as wielded by a snotty thirteen-year-old mean girl, at that.) I truly believe these fuckers think they'll just be worm food when they die or they wouldn't be acting like this.

At least, not for Donald fucking Trump.

But, like a little kid who shit in the pool and thinks it's the funniest thing ever, they cannot resist telling on themselves.

And they don't care if they burn down their own civilization or are forced to live under an escalating, narcissistic tyranny, so long as they think somebody else gets it worse. 

Shit, they don't care if they personally die and go to hell, so long as they're allowed to think they're the only ones in there, or at least that some theoretical Other is in a different, worse level of Hell, somewhere. I never thought relative status was that good of a drug, I guess.

If you, at the end of the story, still end up in Hell...what's the damn point if you brought people with you, least of all people you loudly claim not to like??
