David French, himself an Evangelical/Fundamentalist Christian and former Religious Right and Republican bigwig who lost all that because he was against Trump, pointed this garbage out on Threads at some point yesterday.
I'm not joking; If you're a Christian or anything even close to that, don't do this to yourself.
It's blasphemy and it's wrong. It's like this lady never heard the words "Thou Shalt Have No Other Gods Before Me."
Actually, it's not like that. It IS that. Like I said yesterday, these fucking people have basically decided they wanna be the bad guys from their own End Times narrative.
I have to admit, I find that interesting, because they were always obsessively clear about how that story ended...if you didn't follow their version of Jesus you were going to hell and they got to watch...and now they found a "god" that they like better, so they've switched sides, and Jesus can go piss up a rope??
And somehow, in their minds, they're not the ones going to hell over this, we are.
Interesting, because doctrinally something doesn't add up here.
This isn't Christianity, Jesus Christ has nothing to do with this shit. It's Antichristianity, and people like Putin and Trump are Antichrists, and dudes like David Sacks and Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson are their False Prophets.
One of these things is simply not like the other one.
And, really, last I checked the Word...these fucking people aren't the ones who get to make that call.
Specifically, a lie intended to get worldly power. In other words, the total opposite of what their alleged previous Lord and Savior demanded of them.
And make no mistake about it, these fucking people's idea of a "Post-Constitutional" America, if they get that power, won't BE America anymore...and I think these idiots will actually be surprised at just how fast it all comes unglued and America comes violently flying apart simply because they're incompetent as fuck and most people don't want to live under their bullshit.
Because of conspiracy theories, racism and basic shit-headed Republican unreasonableness, we're already no longer a United States in actual practice...and trust me, these assholes long for the idea of making that shit official. so they can start shooting at the rest of us. They literally don't want to live in the modern world, much less the modern United States of America.
They don't even understand either one...or want to, for that matter. Nor do they understand we get to shoot back.
And they'll end up the bottom bitch to the Chinese, the Russians and the Saudis, willingly becoming slaves to the Hammer and Sickle and/or Radical Islam while whatever American rump-state(s) rebuild something of the level of civilization and freedom they had before, these guys will descend into the kind of dystopia that makes both North Korea and 1990's Taliban era Afghanistan look free.
And Republicans don't even care if they destroy themselves trying to get there, much less fail at doing it.
These fucking people believe in the End Times and Revelation so much that they're willing to volunteer as tribute if they can't get their little medieval dystopia on this Earth.
In fact, they're literally hell-bent on taking the rest of us down with them, if they can. They don't care if they go to hell, so long as they take some of us down there with them. This is the fruit of a worldview dominated by spite.
And in fact, if you point this out, they basically will say that yes, they'll gladly be slaves, destroy themselves, wreck their own lives and this, that and the other thing; So long as it makes some hypothetical "Liberal" somewhere mad.
Like seriously if these fucking assholes ever found out that yes, the Word says and Jesus was serious about all that "Love Thy Neighbor" stuff, they would gladly drink the wine of the Wrath of God.
For the same reason that they want to destroy America, because we decided we were serious about freedom...for everybody.
And vapid MAGA morons like Natasha Owens would rather look at that, and then regarding Trump, sing a real-world equivalent to "Who is like unto the Beast, who can make war with him?"
They know how this ends, they just think we don't, and all they really care about is what they can get in this world...and they long to drag others to Hell with them.
I guess I just wasn't taught like that, I'm not willing to destroy myself just to deny the things I already have to somebody else. You either believe in freedom or you don't. You either believed in the Lord's Word at some point...or you didn't.
But the entire point of all this shit was supposed to be that there was some power in the Universe greater than you.
There is, and you can't bullshit it, and sooner or later we're all going to hit that wall.
Pick a side.
And I'm not willing to say "America sucks" because other people get to be free too, or because we've championed freedom in the world without always trying to force "Conservatism" on those other people.
Freedom ain't free, and sometimes you have to fight for it.
It's going to come down to being a better citizen, voting these bastards out, and then having to defend ourselves and our freedom by force of arms.
