Why, why, why, why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't wanna fuck in the first place? Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? Some Q-Anon idiots spread a viral lie about the Wayfair online furniture company, and of course that bullshit hurt real kids, and forced active investigations into actual human trafficking...real cases...to be paused so Police could deal with the onslaught of horseshit complaints from conspiracy nuts.

Thing what gets me is that in the article, evidently one of the kids who was alleged by various Q-Anon liars to have been trafficked...who was never trafficked at all...basically was so stressed by all this garbage that she got sick...went on Facebook and kept posting "No, really, I'm OK" type of posts and some Q-Anon nut said [because the picture of her that started the whole thing showed her picture next to a stupidly overpriced cabinet] "Put her back in the cabinet" because she wasn't "grateful" to a mob of internet-droolers for their transparently fake "concern" for her welfare. What kind of heart of ice do you gotta have to even say that kind of shit??

Like she didn't just point out that the whole damn thing was a goddamn lie in the first place!

Why would anybody expect a person to be "grateful" for base cruelty that ultimately terrorized them and their family?? This shit not only routinely comes with threats of violence, but people have committed actual crimes including murder.

You know, like the guy who went to shoot up that pizza place over the whole Pizzagate thing...another transparently obvious lie that fed directly into the Q Bullshit. As if the whole "Sex trafficking in the basement" bit couldn't have simply been disproven by showing some of these jackasses that the place didn't even have a fucking basement!

Somehow, it never works that way, of course. You show a conspiracy nut that they're wrong, that there's no basis for...whatever the fuck it is...and, best case scenario is they'll just move on to some other utter bullshit. Some people are just defective in the head, others have an axe to grind or long for recognition or some shit. Stop encouraging this crap!

Conspiracy theories in general...and this Q-Anon bullshit in particular...are never about helping actual people, or about what's true. They're always about creating a dopamine rush for a certain kind of moron, about making insecure stupid people feel good about themselves.

And then Mike Flynn is mad that Etsy won't let him sell his Q-Anon merch on there?

All these bullshit viral lies and horseshit moral panics always...always...find a home in Evangelical Christian churches and shit. But somehow, some way, there's never any room at the inn for real people who need real help, and it doesn't seem to matter who they are...or what they might become.

Funny how that works...and always has worked...isn't it??

It's going to continue until there are actual consequences for people who spread this fucking bullshit, and honestly if the fact that this garbage is always interwoven with Christianity and Right-wing politics doesn't end up being an indictment of that kind of stuff, too, what the fuck are we even doing here?

Conspiracy nuts, reactionaries and religious whack-jobs don't build starships, they don't care about the future either, unless they can force their idealized visions of the past (also, themselves nearly always lies) or their weird beliefs or whatever on that shit, too.

The reason Christianity and so much of the rest of the detritus of the Classical Age is still with us is that at least it speaks to the human spirit on some level.

Who...other than those of us who had to live through dealing with that stupid bullshit...even remembers the last round of disingenuous sex trafficking moral panics, or the Satanic Panic and all that other crap that went with it 40 years ago?? 

I'm a gamer, and I was a mainstream normie Christian kid (albeit of a conservative bent) in the 1980's. 

So, That shit is personal to me.

But worse, people had their lives destroyed, or went to prison, only for a legitimate investigation ten or twenty years later to belatedly point out that it was all horseshit and none of the accusations or charges were true, and none of that crap should have happened in the first place. Some people never could piece their lives back together.

And the people who spread all those lies almost always got away with it, unlike the Sound Of Freedom guy who at least got his shit ruined when it got found out that he was the real sex-trafficking pervert.

If this doesn't make you wonder what the fuck else all these right-wing shitheads are lying about, and why, and for whom...maybe you're part of the problem here?

And imagine, to my sensibilities nurtured in the very anti-Soviet 1980's, how much it pisses me off that a lot of this lying is done on behalf of, or traces back to, Vladimir Putin...a literal KGB agent!
