Also today during a discussion on gender-affirming care in the Missouri Senate, this asshole Mike Moon, fucking went off about 12-year-olds being able to get married. (Including to adults, BTW.)

First of all, if 12-year-olds are having sex, that's a major failure in parenting, at the very least. I mean, I wasn't no good kid. I'd fooled around with a couple girls around that age (and trust me, we was both afraid our parents would find out and we'd get in trouble. In one case, we got caught and we did get in hella trouble! Having sex wouldn't have even been something we'd have even thought of, but I still got the damned condom lecture.) There ain't no 12-year-old kid on this Earth that should have to be a parent, or a spouse. God damn it!
Being a normal sixth-grader is hard enough.

The thing with this bullshit, is that it seems like any conventional morality, any pushback whatever...inflames these fucking people's fear and hate and gets them to double down even more.

On the other hand, it's worth noting that local governments reappointed the two expelled members of the Tennessee Three and pretty much told the racist TN Republicans to go fuck themselves, with a train, sideways.

It seems like Republicans have done fucked up. They really stepped in it lately, and they're either too high on the smell of their own farts, too goddamned stupid or too prone to violent fantasy to care.
But more to the point on issues from abortion to gun control to racial equality and the whole transgender thing, I think these assholes have fundamentally read the room wrong. They cannot, as a general rule, understand why people are telling them "No" or why they are unpopular.
In fact, these fanatics are convinced that somebody, somewhere must be "indoctrinating" people (particularly the young people) against them.
As opposed to just, y'all are assholes.
(And of course, Scott Walker is just a weak-minded dumbass.)
The thing is, though, I'm going to warn you now:
For every "Establishment" (TM) Pig-fucker who's just trying to ride the MAGA Tiger and hope it eats somebody else, for every grifter that sees it all as a big payday, for every rube that's constantly demanding to be sozzled on racism and rage but doesn't get off they ass, for every weak-minded dumb-shit like Scott Wanker who doesn't understand why nobody likes them, there's some fanatic out there who doesn't give a shit, who basically wants to be the Taliban and is perfectly well willing to kill their own people if that's what it takes.
And this is a warning for Republicans as much as anybody else. These motherfuckers are trying to work up the faux-outrage and liquid courage to do something horrible. And they're fine with being vassals to and taking inspiration from our enemies.
Freedom isn't free. Sometimes you have to fight for it.
But if these fucking people bring forth their Beast Of War on a Red Horse, they're going to lose.
Because they'd rather indulge their debased urges than fight when it matters, and because they did not think this through, not in the least.
They think they're going to kill their way to total power, and be facing only unarmed civilians when they do it.
Wrong. And I don't know where they get that idea, either. I have guns, a lot of people do. And that's before the State acts to save itself, as it must.
