A couple days ago, some Republican...a self-professed "MAGA King" who'd ran for local office in New Mexico got arrested for hiring people to shoot several Democrats who'd won in the November election.

 I'd have said, even as recently as last October, that if any of these people were going around shouting "Allah Akbar" they'd all be dead, or at minimum hunted down by the FBI, locked up, and the keys thrown away. If they weren't hunted down by Reaper drones and Special Forces, shot down by Hellfire Missiles filled with knives.

But that's not the world we live in, anymore, is it?

We live in a world where El Partido Dos Santosistas AKA The Party Formerly Known As The Republicans, are just expected to lie, crap all over everything, and wreck shit. Originally, this was expected to be for their own profit, but since at least 2020 it's shifted far more to simply "Because it's there."

Our entire society just shrugs and says "Well, that's just what Republicans DO, Man." And the rampant dishonesty is just expected.

I mean, why else would these fucking people literally kill hundreds of thousands of their own voters with medical woo woo and COVID-19 denialism??

And there seems to be little or no concept among people in general that this is wrong. 

Essentially, being a sociopath is...somehow just one more "option" in our goddamn society, I mean how does this even work?

If you have, say, 70% of a society that's to one degree or another committed to democracy, social norms and just wants to go on living...and 30% of that society that wants to burn the other 70% of that society (not to mention the rest of the world) down because it's too "Liberal" or simply because it's Thursday and they're bored...there's going to be conflict, and eventually, it'll sort out into violent conflict.

And people like Elon Musk are telling on themselves when they give an electronic platform to the goddamned Taliban. These fucking people thought the Twitter Blue Checks were some kind of a world-controlling Secret Society...and Muskrat just threw the doors of it open to The Taliban. 

Think about that for a second.

Even radical Islam...for 20+ years seen as the American Right's chief enemy...is simply one more option among many in the Truthless global society These Fucking People wish to create. 

In point of fact, I'm seeing damned little difference between American "Conservatism" and Radical Islam at this point.

Any and all forms of violent authoritarianism are acceptable. 

No one cares enough to think that maybe...if these fuckers ever get the Eight Corners Of The World Under One Roof...the America First people, atheistic Randian Objectivists, Christian Nationalists, European fascists, Monarchists, Putinist Neo-Communists, Radical Islamists, and Russian Imperialists might not play well with each other.

And then, remember, Elon Musk is the guy what wants to put a computer chip in everybody's head. Because "It's not the Mark Of The Beast when we do it" or something something Gazpacho.

It's funny, 23 years later, just how much of a lie all that End Times, Left Behind crap was.

What happens when they run out of Jews, LGBT people, liberals, mainstream believers in various other religions, and people who support the extant global order to hate and kill?

Where do they park their infinitely-moveable hate-goalposts at that point?

You know what's going to happen.

All these Hate-Jihadis are going to start killing each other, that's what.

These fucking people don't want to live in a civilization, they want the Killing Fields of Khmer Rouge Cambodia...but with an Applebee's and a mall.

The people who rant about conspiracy theories and the Illuminati...will ever and always be just fine with a dictator and some small group of oligarchs making a covert decision to kill all the Ukrainians. And then they'll get mad when the Ukrainians fight back.

I'll never understand how the Right...of all possible groups...appointed KGB-agent Vladimir Putin as its leader and decided they wanted to live in some kind of globalized version of the Soviet Union.

(Especially since these fucking people all claim to be so rabidly against Leftism. No, what they really want is free money and Socialism-For-Themselves and Gulags and mass murder for all the people they don't like.)

It's funny how the only thing these assholes really believe in...is killing people.

And if we as a people...hell, as a species...just keep shrugging and saying it's no big deal, it's just what these people do, man, then humanity is going to have to eventually stomp down some violently genocidal regime somewhere. 

More to the point, by the time we get that mess cleaned up three generations or so later...some other idiots will start thinking that shit is some kind of a good idea, again.

It seems to work out that way every time you run the experiment, as soon as the last group of people to fight against a genocidal war die off in sufficient numbers, the goddamn fascists start coming out of the woodwork again.

I mean, it's almost like you could set some kind of Prophetic clock by this horseshit. Might even have to, if you want the lizard-brain fools to be against it, instead of jumping on the goddamn train.

I want off this goddamned roller-coaster. 

If you want a better country, you have to be a better citizen. If you want a better world, why not be a better person?
