I saw this yesterday.
Apparently Tucker Carlson is in a death match with Elise Stefanik for the Gold in the Republican Backstabbing Olympics, except Tucker just stuck the whole cutlery set in Kevin McCarthy. Elise has good game with the continuing leaks, though.
The day will come, I think, where the position of GOP House leader is a job no one with a brain in their head even wants.
Which seems to be a feature, rather than a bug, concerning Republicans and their endless contempt for most Americans.
Shit like this is the Republican Party's idea of "Politics." Endless backstabbing fuckery and political games...for private profit...on the Public's damned dime.
And what does anybody else get?
An insultingly low sum paid as compensation to the spouses of soldiers killed in some stupid War Of Imperialism And Religion that nobody but a few political leaders and rabid nationalist fanatics really wanted...
In other words, how Russia is fighting it's "Z" War in Ukraine is how current Republicans...left to their own devices and without less-malicious leaders like George W. Bush and (yes) Dick Cheney or experienced military leaders like Colin Powell...would have wanted to fight Afghanistan or Iraq.
And don't think this would not have been the case, there's a lot of people in office now...or who were until recently and supported Trump...who were in office in 2003. Or those who weren't in office but were and are Republican institutions...people like Newt Gingrich.
Imagine Newt making those kind of decisions.
Go ahead, I'll wait.
And don't think the current Republican base wouldn't have been all for a post-9/11 crackdown on freedoms of assembly and speech like what Putin has done in Russia. Hell, that's why a lot of them support Putin now.
They want a Totalitarian, Soviet America. And they want it so they can make up stupid shit like this about the people they hate.
I mean, seriously, it's been awhile. But in whatever compendium of Military Occupational Specialties, Ratings and Specialty Codes that NATO maintains I rather seriously doubt that one will find "Combat Homosexualist" anywhere, even in these "Woke" days.
This is how much contempt for us These Fucking People have.
A lot of this Russian propaganda is so dumb you have to want to believe it.
And that's the problem, a lot of people actually do want to believe this garbage.
Because again,
any flag other than the Stars and Stripes,
any belief system other than either center-right or center-left American politics, any religion other than actual Christianity (or for that matter any
other sincere faith.)
Just so the elites get to play their Cruelty Olympics, Culture War theater bullshit and political backstabbing games and get rich off the goddamned American taxpayer.
I'll tell you one thing though; I'd bet you $130 that the $130 the Neo-Soviet government thinks its dead "Z" Conscripts are worth is more money than Republicans think the lives of young, strong, patriotic Americans are worth...much less jaded old disabled veterans like me.
Like I said, they know exactly what they're doing. They just don't care.
