Unga Bunga (Babylon Or Sodom? Three.)

From daydreams on the road there was no waking. He plodded on. He could remember everything of her save her scent. Seated in a theatre with her beside him leaning forward listening to the music. Gold scrollwork and sconces and the tall columnar folds of the drapes at either side of the stage. She held his hand in her lap and he could feel the tops of her stockings through the thin stuff of her summer dress. Freeze this frame. Now call down your dark and your cold and be damned.

~From Cormac McCarthy's The Road (Book.)

...

The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn't die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well, it's a simple answer after all. You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, "There is a price we will not pay." There is a point beyond which they must not advance. This is the meaning in the phrase of Barry Goldwater's "peace through strength." Winston Churchill said that "the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits — not animals." And he said, "There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty. ~Ronald Reagan

Cassian Andor
: Kino. Tell them what to do. It has to be you. Come on, Kino. You do this every day. Tell them what to do.

Kino Loy: [presses PA systemMy name is Kino Loy. I'm the day shift manager on Level Five. I'm speaking to you from the command center on Level Eight. We are, at this moment, in control of the facility.

Andor: Is that the best you got?

Loy: How long we hang on, how far we get, how many of us make it out, all of that is now up to us. We have deactivated every floor in the facility. All floors are cold. Wherever you are right now, get up, stop the work. Get out of your cells, take charge and start climbing. They don't have enough guards and they know it. If we wait until they figure that out, it'll be too late. We will never have a better chance than this and [looks at Cassian, knowing he said it"I would rather die trying to take them down than giving them what they want." We know they fried a hundred men on Level Two. We know that they are making up our sentences as we go along. We know that no one outside here knows what's happening. And now we know, that when they say we are being released, we are being transferred to some other prison to go and die, and that ends today! There is one way out. Right now, the building is ours. You need to run, climb, kill! You need to help each other. You see someone who's confused, someone who is lost, you get them moving and you keep them moving until we put this place behind us. There are 5,000 of us. If we can fight half as hard as we've been working, we will be home in no time. One way out!

[repeats it multiple times as he leaves the command center]

Andor: Come on! Let's get out of here!

~From the series "Andor" S1 E10 "One Way Out."

I saw this a couple days ago.

These Epstein Cabal motherfuckers wanted to reduce the world to Tribalism so that they could buy up everything cheap.

So, pretty much the absolute worst of everything I thought these fucking people were, proven, all in one go.

These assholes literally come right out and say, among themselves, that they want to crash civilization and reduce Humanity to dancing around a fire and shouting "Unga Bunga" while they wait for the local Witch Doctor to come out of his cave. And yet...and yet...These Fucking People are so goddamned soft that seeing people exercise their Constitutional Rights and protest in a church breaks their fucking brains.

I'm confused, because it sure as hell seems like the *Checks Notes* End of the World is probably gonna pop whatever bubble you think your ass lives in, not least because Billionaires and modern so-called "Conservatives" can't even survive without having the rest of us to bitch about and parasitize.

In those first years the roads were peopled with refugees shrouded up in their clothing. Wearing masks and goggles, sitting in their rags by the side of the road like ruined aviators. Their barrows heaped with shoddy. Towing wagons or carts. Their eyes bright in their skulls. Creedless shells of men tottering down the causeways like migrants in a fever-land. The frailty of everything revealed at last. Old and troubling issues resolved into nothingness and night. The last instance of a thing takes the class with it. Turns out the light and is gone. Look around you. Ever is a long time. But the boy knew what he knew. That ever is no time at all. ~From Cormac McCarthy's The Road (Book.)

I'm sorry, but I used to be a conservative Christian Republican and this ain't what I was taught.

But of course, why would we dare assume these idiots know that?? They sure don't seem to want to know it, or anything else.

I have repeatedly, for years now, said "You either believe in freedom or you don't."

To believe in things, you have to know a thing or two. Faith, in a certain sense, requires at least some degree of knowledge or at least that's what I was taught separates (for example) a human being reading or being taught the Word of God from a dog listening to the commands of its master.

As Ronald Reagan (of all people) said "We are Spirits, not Animals."

I don't know if modern Republicans have forgotten that or if, like everything else, they just didn't want to know it in the first place.  My actual lived experience with these fucking people is that their actual "beliefs" seem to hinge on the idea that if they don't know anything, they can "Believe" in whatever they want.

But that's not what Belief actually is.

What they have is Delusion.

Truth is the only floor most people will ever have to stand on to push back against Power, let alone Tyranny.

By then all stores of food had given out and murder was everywhere upon the land. The world soon to be largely populated by men who would eat your children in front of your eyes and the cities themselves held by cores of blackened looters who tunneled among the ruins and crawled from the rubble white of tooth and eye carrying charred and anonymous tins of food in nylon nets like shoppers in the commissaries of hell. The soft black talc blew through the streets like squid ink uncoiling along a sea floor and the cold crept down and the dark came early and the scavengers passing down the steep canyons with their torches trod silky holes in the drifted ash that closed behind them silently as eyes. Out on the roads the pilgrims sank down and fell over and died and the bleak and shrouded earth went trundling past the sun and returned again as trackless and as unremarked as the path of any nameless sister-world in the ancient dark beyond. ~From Cormac McCarthy's The Road (Book.)

So of course those who think they want a Tyrant are going to willfully ignore the Truth.

Granted, even (or perhaps especially) in the most Christianized terms, it's safe to say that ignorance of the Law, ignorance of the Truth, etc. etc. Is NOT A Defense!

These motherfuckers treat all this shit like some kind of set of legal contracts with which they're trying to cheat the Universe. Like they think there's no God that'll judge them, no sense of Reality outside of whatever Solipsistic nonsense is popular in a given moment.

Sorry, but (again, just for example) you don't have to "Believe" in Gravity, or Diseases, or Science. If you try to do certain things, or not do other necessary things, well, all that stuff believes in YOU just fine, and Nature has its own credo of "Fuck Around and Find Out."

And all these fucking people who think the Universe begins and ends with them, because their Self is on the Throne and not God (and this is a line of theological reasoning a supposed Calvinist like Dale Partridge should damn well know) are going to be hella surprised when they find themselves in Hell.

Man cannot Save Man, and Man does not get to Judge himself.

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. ~Matthew 22:36-40

Being rich or being White or believing in the right theological tautology is not Salvation.

Belief in, accountability to, and when necessary obedience of and participation in the Divine Conversation with the Creator is how you get that...if you choose to see it that way.

And "Love Thy Neighbor" itself presupposes a certain level of belief in Civilization, I guess?

Like I said in a conversation with the Threads poster in the snipped post immediately above, it shocks me that these days half of America is basically damned illiterate.

Not least because as I was taught things, the Written Word is basically the foundation of pretty much everything.

Again, even in the Bible it says thusly:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shined in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. ~John 1:1-5

If you can't fuckin' read how are you even supposed to know that??

Just accepting what people tell you is not faith.

Naturally, the people whose biggest question is do they want to live in Babylon or Sodom aren't going to want people to know that.

There's a reason that the longer this shit goes on, the more Demonic it seems to get.

People who want you to be ignorant and live like a savage so they can steal Civilization right out from under your ass ain't your friends.

Even when the political aspects of this shit are supposedly over, we're going to have a long way to go before we fix it, and it's probably going to be a fight to get there.

Remember that, because it's going to be on the test.

Слава Україна!

Loretta Smith: I'm Loretta Smith. You killed my son. You're a handsome fellow.
Donald Groves: Thanks.
Loretta Smith: You broke God's law: Love thy neighbor. I wanna hate you but I can't. I feel pity, tears, but no hate. I didn't realize that until this moment. You are my neighbor and I love you. And I forgive you with all my heart. That's all.
~From the HBO series "Oz" Season 1, Episode 7 "Plan B."

When men stop believing in God, it isn't that they then believe in nothing: they believe in everything. ~Umberto Eco
