Like I said; For current American "Conservatives" it's not enough to be an amoral unnatural pervert, you refuse to even enjoy it, to refuse to be dirty in an understandable fashion or to be perverse in any but the worst ways imaginable.

These fucking people treat perversion the way their ancestors treated miserable Calvinist religiosity 50 years ago or how their parents treated Pentecostal narcissism and hungover altar calls 25 years ago, as some kind of joyless religious duty. They couldn't religiously bully everybody else into being miserable bastards so now they're trying to shock people into it.

I keep trying to warn people that nothing is or ever will be good enough for these motherfuckers.

Like, Northern Ireland is literally the (currently, anyway) last real bastion of that age-old nasty Catholic/Protestant conflict, even though the Troubles have largely gone Cold War in the last 20 years.

I say this because these assholes clearly don't like any but the farthest of far-right Catholics and I've said more than once I think it likely that if things continue as they are, the far-right Sedevacantist Catholics and the far-right "Sin Of Empathy" Protestants will very likely kick their parent denominations to the curb, unite and form their own religion.

For a long time I thought this would be preceded by an attempt to raise up Donald Trump as a god.

But when I saw there were references to Baal in the Epstein Files, something I'd been thinking before clicked.

They don't need a god, they'll just append their "Conservative" bullshit and tight-assed religiosity to the worship of a fucking Demon...just like lots of people including the Canaanites and a not-exactly-small percentage of the ancient Israelites themselves did back in the day.

I mean, the truth is, they don't have to have a god-figure of any sort to be terrible fucking people but they sure seem to think some kind of metaphysical figurehead is a need rather than a want.

And I suppose without a "god" to allegedly tell them what to do, the whole thing falls apart soon enough.

You can't really create a psychological need in people to buy the whole hog, every time, forever...if you start off never having had to buy the hog in the first place, at all. If being an angry pinch-faced asshole is optional, a desired aesthetic or affect, a what you want rather than what somebody else with a big metaphorical or mythological stick is telling you to do or you'll go to "Hell" well...eventually people are going to not want to do it anymore.

For most of us being an asshole or being in constant conflict or being some kind of ideological or insane religious fanatic isn't much fun, it wears you out. It leaves people with issues, eventually most people just get tired and give it up or wear out. Literally not everybody has the damned brain chemistry to be a conflict-driven asshole.

Literally outside of what's left of MAGA there's no appetite for that shit in America.

So they're apparently gonna try to keep it going by pushing this crap right in the middle of about a 500-year-old ethnic and religious conflict that previously involved like 40 years of varying degrees of armed multilateral insurgent warfare?? And they wanna do it by *Checks Notes* pushing the people that are pretty much Europe's last real group of tight-assed sour-faced Fundamentalist Christians to go at it even harder??

Maybe it's just me but that seems pretty fuckin' stupid.

And it probably won't work, if only because these people value community for the most part more than narcissism and have British-enough social values that they'll keep doing their own thing, in their own way and that seems to work for them even if I personally wouldn't likely agree with it.

But the whole idea is these CHUDS want a fight, somewhere, in some kind of vague name of Christian Nationalism even though that's not really what they want anymore.

They don't care where, because their entire belief system says that simply having the fight and screwing things up bad enough for everybody will get them what they think they want.

These are the same fucking people who wanted to feed mostly (small "C") conservative, mostly (Big "C") Christian Ukraine to the same motherfuckers that are trying to rebuild the Atheistic Soviet Union.

They forget that according to the Bible even Jesus doesn't know when the End Times will be or when He will return.

They forget that if God can be manipulated by Man, then He is NOT God.

The truth is they just want Power, and they don't care if it comes from God or the Demons not if Power gathers under the Christian Cross or the State Atheist Hammer and Sickle or bases itself in Babylon or Sodom, literally or metaphorically.
