Magic Words And Phrases (American Revelation XIX, Twelve.)

Stormtrooper: How long have you had these droids?

Luke: About three or four seasons.
Obi-Wan: They're up for sale, if you want them.
Stormtrooper: Let me see your identification.
Obi-Wan: You don't need to see his identification. [Does Jedi Mind Trick On Stormtrooper.]
Stormtrooper: We don't need to see his identification.
Obi-Wan: These aren't the droids you're looking for.
Stormtrooper: These aren't the droids we're looking for.
Obi-Wan: He can go about his business.
Stormtrooper: You can go about your business.
Obi-Wan: Move along.
Stormtrooper: Move along. Move along.

When men stop believing in God, it isn't that they then believe in nothing: they believe in everything. ~Umberto Eco

I saw this last night.

Paula White (An adulterous Prosperity Gospel bullshitter, if you don't know) is trying to say that saying no to Trump equals saying no to "god."

"No."

It's a simple word, see how easy that is.

And all the more so because you said it.

These aren't the Droids you're looking for.

No.

There's power in that word. Remember that.

You do not have to "obey" every dipshit religious nut that comes along spouting this kind of crap and don't you forget it. These fucking people don't own your life or have any more insight into the Divine than what amounts to their own damn opinion (and honestly, often less insight into such than a person who simply minds their own business.)

I have a Church background. Anybody what goes around trying to say "God Told me..." especially as regards a skeevy Preacher or politician of any sort is a liar.

This kind of shit is just Magic Words And Phrases used by deceivers to get whatever they think they want.

Again, God does not work like that.

All type of bullshitters just hope you don't know this.

And you don't have to put up with it either.

More to the point, it's like I said the other day, if you really need me to tell you that Donald Trump has nothing to do with God, that he is not of God, and that he and Elon Musk are basically wannabe Antichrists at this point...you're lost in a Biblical sense and you probably couldn't find your way out of the desert with a pillar of fire to lead you and light your way.

More to the point, Christians, allowing too much of this kind of crap will damage your Witness and other people's faith in God or even their desire to join the divine conversation at all.

My ex-wife is Pentecostal, and the unending False Prophecies and Holy Roller Bullshit and wasting money we didn't have on Prosperity Gospel horse-fuckery for years on end is pretty much why I'm not a Christian anymore.

It took literally years of effort by other people to undo the damage that my ex-wife did with her lies and to make me less than violently hostile to Christianity, let alone to spiritual gifts and other such practices.

And this crap that Paula White and all these other "Christians" who seek to associate Christianity and the Lord's Word with Trump's hate and politics (or as a Jamaican friend of mine recently called it "Politiricks") will damage the faith of a lot of people.

I spent over 30 of my 51 years in the Church, I speak from experience on these matters. People like Paula White could give a good goddamn about the Lord Jesus Christ, except for what they believe to be His promise of easy forgiveness for their manifold transgressions and their mighty sins.

And honestly, they don't even care if you know it, because what they really want is the Power to lie their asses off, unchallenged and reap the profits of that and of proximity to Trump or somebody like him. It'd be considered Mammon-worship except they're too stupid to tell the damn difference between the Lord and a demon.

And there's nothing Christian about that, either.

You either believe in the Truth or you don't.

What the gods ask of us is simple.

Love thy neighbor, live in peace, treat others as you would wish to be treated, and try not to hurt other people. This ain't really that hard.

Man makes it complicated and makes up all type of foolishness because he does not want to obey.

And it's a lot easier for These Fucking People to say "Give me $20 and I'll show you the way to Jesus" than it is for them to follow His ways their own damn selves.

No amount of Magic Words and Phrases is gonna change that, either.

Remember this, because there's going to be a test. Soon.

Слава Україна!

Eli Sunday: Daniel, I'm asking if you'd like to have business with the Church of the Third Revelation in developing this lease on young Bandy's thousand acre tract. I'm offering you to drill on one of the great undeveloped fields of Little Boston!

Daniel Plainview: I'd be happy to work with you.
Eli Sunday: You would? Yes, yes, of course. That’s wonderful.
Daniel Plainview: But there is one condition for this work.
Eli Sunday: All right.
Daniel Plainview: I'd like you to tell me that you are a false prophet. I'd like you to tell me that you are, and have been, a false prophet, and that God is a superstition.

Eleven

The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn't die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well, it's a simple answer after all. You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, "There is a price we will not pay." There is a point beyond which they must not advance. This is the meaning in the phrase of Barry Goldwater's "peace through strength." Winston Churchill said that "the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits — not animals." And he said, "There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty. ~Ronald Reagan
