Firstly, if you wrote "Project 2025" in Russian, this is what you'd have. This is the goal, the point, the world they want. There's no freedom and you're either breeding stock or cannon fodder for the wealthy oligarchs. And no, modern warfare in all its technological glory and power is just not bloody enough of a sport for these goddamned assholes.
Second, I still maintain as I did during COVID-19 that "Conservatives" unspoken goal here is basically to bury civilization under a big-enough pile of corpses. Like, what they want is human-wave attacks against modern forces with fighter jets and tanks and warships and shit...their idea of war is basically The Walking Dead...as the Zombie side, I'm serious. This shit is Conservative Zombie Land.
Like, these idiots understand two things; Their world is an Idiocracy where everything comes down to either death or the barest form of survival, domination or slavery, fighting or fucking, poverty or wealth.
At this point they're so brain-fucked by atavistic fear and bigotry and petty hatred, that they simply don't want to understand anything else.
Never mind how high the human cost of this gets, they simply don't care. They don't even care if they lose the war. So long as rulers still remain rulers, that is.
We are but abstractions, poker chips, shadows and dust, to these motherfuckers, for them to play some stupid ideological game with. Most humans got tired of this after WWII. I mean, shit, the reason that technology had advanced to the level of that war was because people saw industrialized killing mated to outdated tactics from the US Civil War to All Quiet On The Western Front and they were goddamned horrified...unless one was a goddamn Nazi, anyway, they simply saw potential for more mass death.
It's less that they reject the modern world than the entirely predictable result of the Platonic ideal that ideas are better than people, except that they stopped vetting the ideas or even trying to figure out if X or Y was a good idea or a bad idea a long damn time ago, and simply started using "Conservatism" and right-wing ideals for their own sake as a goddamn smokescreen to do whatever the fuck they wanted in the first place. It's not about "Things as they are" anymore. It's about "How do assholes wish things could be??"
They started drawing dicks on the walls of Plato's cave, thought it was funny, and just kept going. It should surprise precisely no one that the end result is dumb as hell and getting worse.

Unless their only actual goal is to delay progress and screw shit up for the rest of us for as long as possible.
I mean, I get it, the wealthy hope that they can use Trump as a trojan horse to get President JD Vance, and turn the USA into Russia Lite so "Conservative" whypipo don't have to underact with the Blacks or the Gays if they don't wanna.. But just because JD can speak in complete sentences doesn't mean he's competent, Reagan was a great goddamn speaker! He just had less and less going on upstairs as time went on. It doesn't mean that the freaks who are backing him have the slightest idea what they're doing.
I mean...we're all being treated to the spectacle of Elon Musk running his shit into the ground in the corporate and personal equivalents of a weirdly repetitive and extremely tedious Controlled Flight Into Terrain simply because the dude is a freak who can't fucking function living in any world that's not a simulation of Apartheid South Africa, circa 1987 or thereabouts.
And in just this last week, everything we hear about this shit gets worse and worse.
Not just Trump, but Conservatism itself seems to be disintegrating.
And whether they lose the election (the most likely outcome, IMO) or if they win it, they seem determined to find a way to take the rest of us down with them.
They don't even seem to care what else happens.
All they want is blood and pain and vast piles of dead bodies, in the hope that they'll manage to take out somebody else they don't like in the process. They don't even care if the dead are their own, or if they die in the process of doing this, perpetuating the social memes of bigotry, power and wealth is more important. They're so determined to do this that they don't care if they end up being the bottom bitch themselves.
But here's the thing, this is America, none of the rest of us have to obey their stupid religion whether you want to call it some form of Christianity or, more accurately Independent Fundamentalist Whiteness or Putinist Neo-Communism with all the social welfare stuff sucked out.
We The People can say "No."
And I think we're in the process of doing exactly that.
Thing is, they're going to pitch a goddamn violent fit when they don't get their way and try to force the issue, again.
So, again, you either believe in freedom or you don't.
You're either willing to fight for it, or you're not.
It's as simple as that.
