When I was coming up, an adult American Republican who didn't know when Abraham Lincoln was alive would have been mocked, viciously, and would have deserved it.

Bro the National Anthem of the United States of America is the Star-Spangled Banner. I knew the words to that before I even started school. If that's not good enough for you, if you don't want to run for the presidency of America, just say so. But you'll have to go somewhere else and get your own country, it's really that damned simple. And that damned difficult.
Current "Republicans" hate America, because Trump hates America, because We, the People (You know, the Constitutionally-enumerated final authority on everything here) didn't all fall down and worship the shit that falls out of his flabby orange ass.
Trump and his fucking goons know they're going to lose. They're openly plotting to burn America down, try and shoot down the government, the military, their own fellow citizens and neighbors, when that happens.
Meanwhile, you go other places...like Ukraine, for example, and people are doing every single thing they can to fight to remain free and to support the war effort and the wounded (and damn it, I'm going to have to get me one of this lady's calendars. As much as it also seems like something out of Idiocracy for an actual porn star to be raising money for wounded war vets, it's a worthy damned cause and she's doing it with class in a respectful way and not making a mockery of everything by doing it.)
More to the point: What have people like Donald Trump ever done for anyone but themselves??
It's very simple, really.
You either believe in Freedom, or you don't.
You either love your Country (warts and all) and want to make it better...with whatever talents you have which is exactly what Yulia Senyuk is doing in Ukraine...and welcome the people who had to do shit like walk across deserts to be here, to do the same, or you don't.
But you have to stand up and make that choice like an adult.
Trump and his followers don't want America.
They're like the shitty little Southern racists who abandoned public schools, dumped cement in swimming pools and, like fools, started chipping away at their own rights and social structures when the People changed the rules...and made the Law say they couldn't deny those things to Black people no more. America, writ large, is the same as far as they care.
And if the rest of us stand together and fight for our own country, you know, the civilization we already have...they can't defeat us, so they'll wall themselves off in some shitty little Banana Republic and stew in their own hate and rage...and then in their minds, they'll call that...their own self-imposed version of North Korea...a great victory...for the American Idiot.
