Over the weekend I saw this. Oh, not much, just some Republican nut-bag trying to say that Jesus and the Virgin Mary still have "Active bloodlines" and trying to draw a connection between Mary and Kayleigh McEnany based on some...painting of a white girl from gods-only-know-when.

First of all this is creepy, cultish behavior. 

Second, the Da Vinci Code is just a novel, bro. 

Unless you believe in a whole bunch of Gnostic scriptures (which orthodox Christian doctrine doesn't encourage) there's no evidence either way even theologically, the Word itself is silent on this issue and Christian doctrine actively rejects the idea (Because reasons, which are themselves probably wrong, and certainly are in light of Jewish culture and law at the time, but again nobody can prove anything either way.)

Third, based on a fair amount of the stuff I've seen, were all this true there'd be a non-zero chance that the descendants of Jesus would be Black or at least multiracial, so put that in your pipe and smoke it, asshole.

And yeah, I'm more than familiar with all the Holy Blood, Holy Grail type of woo woo stuff. I'm guessing more familiar than the guy trying to connect Jesus with Trump-World. When one finds themselves basically kicked out of one's various "Christian" circles and all that "stuff" stops helping, you gotta look for answers somewhere.

The assorted Baptists, Fundamentalists and mainstream Evangelicals who froze me out because of my divorce didn't notice or care.

But the Pentecostals were actively hostile.

As if their belief system is not overflowing with an order of magnitude of even more woo woo bullshit than anything I was reading in 2001-2002. Like "Be careful who you kiss, because Witchcraft?" 

Wut? 

(Based on my experience with this type, I have to wonder how many dicks she's sucked, or how many dudes have dry-humped her, but I digress. And yes, they're all like that.)

The crazy bullshit has only gotten worse, to the point where these people have all but kicked Jesus out, in favor of more conspiracy theories and pants-shitting fear of everything.

And I've got to say after the several UFO shootdowns in the last few days, I'm starting to wonder if, because of all this craziness, we've hit the point where we're past the "Aliens not talking to us" and reached the "Aliens regarding us as a potential threat and sending recon drones to check out our shit in case they need to blow us up" level of the galactic conversation?

And of course these fucking people have to make up conspiracy theories about that, too. And these have nothing to do with the actual possibility of UFO's or the chance there's aliens out there, nor even any plausible explanation. It's the same old recycled fear bullshit.

As if a "One World Government" would not have massive autocratic components they'd probably like? When you consider that China and India alone are two-fifths of the world's population. Or, that sub-Saharan Africa is positively dominated by Christianity or that despite everything, Russia still wields massive influence in the world...shit, even the EU (You know, the O.G. source of all this conspiracy theory fear-mongering from way back) has Orban's Hungary smack in the fucking middle of it. 

I have no idea (other than the same old pants-shitting fear of everything) why these idiots think a "One-world government" would be "liberal" or anything else that they'd be afraid of. The Bible doesn't actually use that sort of terminology, where it can be inferred, Revelation is actually talking about Rome, then-extant and a known quantity. This modern horse shit about it all is purely an artifact of American Christianity's end times narratives.

Unless of course, all of these fucking people's stated reasons for basically everything are pure bullshit.

What these nuts actually want is a global empire dominated by the wealthy and for their exclusive use, where a few rich white men get everything and the rest of us get nothing but empty religiosity, jackboots and racism.

(As if that's not exactly what Revelation is talking about with all that Mark Of The Beast stuff.) 

Otherwise, they wouldn't be trying so hard to connect Trump-Land with the idea of conspiratorial Secret Jesus Bloodlines and so on. They don't actually give a shit about Christianity, they just think it's an excuse a lot of people will accept, or something.

How they square this with bowing down before the Hammer And Sickle, even in their own minds, I've no idea.

These nuts are essentially trying to set the stage for rationalizing that shit even now, and any wildcards like the existence of aliens (A thing most people accept with a shrug as logically possible) or Ukrainian resistance to tyranny (which most of us regard as actively good) throw a wrench into their feel-good fantasies of Empire. 

So therefore, all such things must secretly be conspiracies against "Conservatives."

Seriously who the hell can even keep up with this shit, without going insane first.

Bitch, reality is probably a conspiracy against "Conservatives" at this point. Or maybe they're just that out of touch with it.
