So, the media seems to be pandering to Trump on the flag issue, never mind that Jimmy Carter just died...these fucking people have to keep blowing the narcissist, and asking Karine Jean-Pierre if they'll raise the flags for Trump, lest they miss out on any Clicks And Likes or some such drivel. Then they're surprised when the answer is "No." 

The more I think about it the more Die Hard and Predator 2 and a whole bunch of other movies from the 1980's and early 1990's called These Fucking People correctly, as self-interested scum.

I'm serious, this Attention-economy shit is going to be the death of all of us if we don't cut this shit out. Like at the end of that movie "Don't Look Up" where the one guy is like "Last Man on Earth, yo. Don't forget to like and subscribe..." As if there don't have to be other people and a functional goddamned civilization and power grid to keep all this bullshit going??

This isn't Christianity, Conservatism or even politics. This is just plain disrespect and solipsistic selfishness wrapped up in a thin coat of even-more obvious Calvinistic cruelty and selfishness and goddamn if I ain't tired of this bullshit already.

And here these fuckers who can't even be bothered to keep Christ in Christianity are blathering about trying to export their bullshit Christian Nationalism?? Homey, most of the world done tried this or some variant of it cranked off to their own claimed religion at some point...a few countries, most of them Muslim, still have religious nationalism as their core ideal...and the end result is nearly always shit, in fact, shit that has little or nothing to do with the core values of the actual religion they claim to practice. As if Christian Nationalism hasn't worked out the exact same way every time anybody runs the experiment.

And what do they end up with after they get shitcanned out of power?? A less religious nation, every damned time, consider modern Portugal, South Africa, or Spain for example...or hell, there's always the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is less devout now than it was before the Revolution. America has been going the same way for a long time. Trump is a symptom of this, not the cause.

As I said way back in 2015 you don't elect an Atheistic New York fat-cat to make America "Christian" anymore than you'd go to a mechanic for a health problem or take your car to a doctor to get the check engine light dealt with. One of these things is simply not like the other one, and lying about it...self-deception...will not help you.

It's not about conservatism, it's not about religion, it's about keeping Power in the hands of the Few and using bigotry and other social vices to get it, and they always fuck it up because all these Deceivers hate each other even more than they hate the rest of us and that's before you find out they're a bunch of goddamned incompetents to start with.

If these people really wanted not just Christianity but their kind of it to grow in America...they'd institute visa-free, easy travel between the USA and countries like Nigeria, Uganda, and Zambia where a rock-star passion for the Lord is pretty damned common and not only that, but those people are very hard workers. Given the chance, given opportunities that match their energy, they could help America and lift people in their own countries out of poverty too!

But you have to know a few things and watch something other than idiotic American TV to even know that, and maybe even go a few places and meet a few people...not that there's any shortage of African workers already busting their ass contributing to America now. And I've been to churches where those people went and I've worshiped with them. Their energy and passion are infectious. Why?? The last thing they're ever concerned about is whatever the Hindus are doing.

Because their faith isn't founded on relative status. Again, you just have to look outside of America's stupid racial narratives to know that, ask a random foreign neighbor right here! It's not even hard.

America's media isn't intended to inform, anymore, it's paid to distract.

Our media acts mostly in its own interest now, not those of the Constitution or the country.

Like, maybe we need a media ecosystem that's not run by billionaires and where the average media person isn't well-off before they start working in the profession?? Seriously local news is mostly a thing of the past, thus eliminating most regular people from the job. Nowadays...because all too many journalistic internships are unpaid...most of these fucking people have to be fuckin' Trust Fund kids just to get their foot in the fuckin' door. I don't think that's what the people who wrote our Constitution had in mind. And as such the media has moved from reporting the news to twisting it to their benefit to outright creating bullshit. 

I remember 30 years ago when the term "Infotainment" was bandied about with disgust...now it's the norm.

And what's worse is, more often than not, US media forgets about anything that's going on anywhere else that's real and actually matters, after a couple weeks or so. The war in Ukraine is just one example. How much do you even hear about the war in Sudan??

Hell, my doctor (who's from Sudan and this affects his life and for that matter he's supporting family who are holed up in neighboring countries right now) was surprised I knew anything about it. That's kind of sad, really, because the war in Sudan and the war in Ukraine trace back to the same enemies of America...the Russians, of course. not that you'd know this following US media.

For our media the main story will ever and always be Trump until he goes and finds out he can't get into Heaven and that it's probably not some gold-plated materialistic fantasy either.

It's a big world out there, and the weaker and more distracted we make ourselves with bullshit, the more the rest of the world is gonna come crashing in, and the more we're gonna fuck around and find out.

Think about that for a second.
