At first I was like "WTF?" Then I looked at the thread. First few comments were derogatory BS and Crypto-Spam. All from $8 type Blue Checks, lest you think Musk not a part of this shit.

How the fuck can we reach for the stars when the goddamned idiot mob is trying to pull down anyone but a certain very narrow clade of people (who also must constantly cater to the mob's stupidity, and even Elon can't keep up with it) that does...anything at all??
And how the fuck is anybody supposed to get the necessary basic skills to work for NASA (or, indeed, any other government agency including the military) when the criminally insane are going after education, too??
When I was in high school I knew kids whose only stable environment was school, some of them it was their only sure meal of the day, too. I knew kids whose parents didn't pay their bills and spent their money on alcohol or drugs. Kids who had to do crimes and sell weed (in an area with basically no jobs) so they could eat, And the State only stepped in if they got caught.
And Trump...basically wants to throw the administration of schools open to the mob, too??

At a Trump rally today, in his own state, Lindsey Graham got booed.
Lindsey Graham...who has basically become Trump's equivalent of the Toady from The Road Warrior.

Republicans, get a grip. They hate you, too. You're not safe, either.

A measure of wheat for a Denarius...a day's labor for basic survival. Your kid selling weed on the corner so they can eat. Shocking poverty for almost every person...and fabulous, sensuous, nearly unlimited wealth for the very few who can afford that's the kind of expense needed to stand up a private army to protect them from the mob or make the weapons to arm it with.
And no interest in things like space travel, because it is anathema to them that somebody might, even if only someday, be able to get away from their Power.
That's the future that "Conservatives" want. And they don't really think there'll ever be a Second Coming, let alone consequences. If they did, they wouldn't be doing this.
