Last weekend, 31 members of the Patriot Front neo-Nazi group were arrested, they were attempting to crash and violently disrupt a "Pride In The Park" event in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. A bunch of them got pulled out of the back of a rented U-Haul truck, what is it with these people and U-Hauls?

In other words, they got busted right smack in the middle of the "White Flight" capital of the United States. While overall, that's a good thing and historically the cops do have a long history of busting White Supremacist motherfuckers, I think this is the first time I've heard of White Supremacists getting busted on the way to attack a gay pride event.

Now, that too is a good thing. But there's a catch...of the kind that I and most decent people don't give a shit about, but it's still a catch.

Do I have to tell you how that's going to go over with the (White) religious nuts, especially the Christian end-times nuts? And the wilder ends of that spectrum hold remote places like Northern Idaho close to their hearts because it's a White Supremacist hangout, There's not many Black people there, something something Christian Refuge something Gazpacho. 

No, seriously, I've driven through the area several times, there isn't much there and I can't understand why they think it's so great...or why it so often comes up in End Times Prophecy bullshit. Couple interesting points about that, though.

In the event of world-spanning calamity like a nuclear war it's not that safe either, there's a shitload of major strategic targets in the area. Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, the Hanford reactor complex and the Yakima Army Reservation training facility are all right next door in eastern Washington right to their west. You can add in Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana to the east as well. If we and the Russians ever let loose with the goddamned nukes, the safest place to be is going to be is on the other side of the Cascades...as long as you're not in Seattle, or at least not close to Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton.

And the other thing worth noting is that if you've ever read Christian End Times fiction or read any of the endless commentary on the subject...the actual Biblical belief or theology, even the bullshit Darbyite, Scofield-Reference-Bible horse shit just is the tip of the iceberg. There's a vast, vast bulk of "The End Times Will Be When Society Reflects Liberal Values" Moral panic-crazy and rabid, pants-shitting fear of any calamity or change that underlies all of it. 

Needless to say, you can file anything involving improved race relations or LGBT stuff (like, even acknowledging that it exists) or Evangelicals and Fundamentalists not being able to abuse LGBT folks or People of Color under "Liberal" these days. There's a whole faction of right-wingers that are absolutely beside themselves with rage at the idea that June is Pride Month.

Same with any belief whatever that laws should apply equally to all people and be prosecuted accordingly. Conservatism wasn't always that way, but it sure is now.

The mask is slipping, when they bother wearing it at all, and these fucking people want to party like it's 1895...or maybe 1935...or maybe just the goddamned 11th Century.

These fucking people would rather be part of Putin's New Soviet Union than of the United States Of America.

And they are slowly but surely losing their minds to paranoid bullshit about the End Times. 

But I think it's also dawning on them that #1; Jesus isn't going to come and save them, at least not on their timetable (So, thus Jesus doesn't matter, they're already editing Him out of the narrative.) and #2; that a majority of them don't actually believe in Jesus to start with. Also #3; There is no Rapture (It's a false doctrine, but most of them won't acknowledge that if they could even tell you what Christian doctrine is.) and #4; If there was a Rapture, they wouldn't get to shoot their guns and kill their "enemies." (Nor do they trust God to do it for them.) And what the hell fun would that be?

And what good is God if He's not in on their tribalistic Blood-Religion?

Along this way lies these fucking people's crazy assorted reactions to COVID-19 and a generalized belief that Donald Trump is some sort of Messiah. These fucking people's fear of death is all-consuming, but it's nothing...nothing at all...next to their gutless, ravening fear of change and loss of whatever "power" they think they have.

Never mind that these fucking people are always goat-eager to jump in bed with those...whether it's corporations in general, the oil industry in particular, or Republicans...who cheerfully, unabashedly make their lives worse, for money, which these fools are only too glad to hand over.

There's a reason Republicans have so much of their ideology and money tied up in alcohol, guns, oil and tobacco. The more destructive something is, it seems like, the more they GOTTA have it. Whether it's destructive to the environment, other people or themselves, that part doesn't seem to matter.

And remember, these sons of bitches think we're the ones going to hell. 

I think some people are going to be very surprised at how that whole afterlife thing works out.

And then I saw this;

Some E-girl with a real BDSM-y hedonistic "Smack my ass" vibe (and a Patreon account she shares with another fake-kinky fascist chick that matches this, right down to the tier names) who's a recent convert to "Traditionalist" Catholicism. I mean seriously her Twitter pic is of her bending over a table wearing a rather Victorian-looking dress...

Hold the fuck on, how is any of this "Catholic??" 

She's calling the Pope a "straight-up layperson" for complaining that the American far-right Catholics are making his various reforms difficult to implement.

And she's getting quite rightfully called out and laughed at for doing this...especially by Catholics. I mean, seriously? You don't get to convert to Catholicism, and then immediately try to impose your fascism on it and tell the Pope what to do...he is, after all, an Absolute Monarch...and isn't that the kind of ruler These Fucking People say that they want?

Oh, but only if he tells them what they want to hear, and to do the things they already want to do anyway? But he wouldn't be an Absolute Monarch then, now would he? He'd merely be a Subject to the whims of the ravening Mob.

They're not looking for authoritarian, strict leadership. They want Permission...

...And a rigidly-categorized hierarchy-of-everything in which to be Assholes to other people, and perversely, to be shit on by others their own damn selves. I mean, seriously, what's the point if there are no "Libs" for them to "Own" nor boots for them to lick?

That type of shit really does seem to be the end-all, be-all for these fucking people.

And let's not forget these fucking people...some of them anyway...are still worshiping Donald Trump, who really only pretended to be one of their own but would do more of that the more these fuckers cheered him for it. Oh, right, exactly.

And for some reason I thought back to how my mentally-ill Pentecostal ex-wife constantly sexualized religion...

That's when it hit me.

These sons of bitches have gradually become disciples of Asmodeus, Dis Pater, and Mammon, and they're slowly realizing this shit.

And given their ideas of how morality works (i.e. "Good" is what their idea of "God" says is good.) We're likely all going to have a problem when they figure it out.

But it'll get worse.

For at least some of these motherfuckers, all this fascist "Order" bullshit is some kind of a sexual paraphilia. They get a little hard...or a little wet...at the sight of a column of marching soldiers, of uniformed sameness, at the idea of obedience, or of being told what to do. They don't want leadership or a stricter moral code, let alone a more moralistic society...No, that's not it. 

Unless we're talking about the Lawful Evil of the Nine Hells of Baator from D&D and the endless Blood War it's not, anyway.

It's worse yet, actually.

They want to have an orgasm and be given all the power so they can enjoy themselves forever, at the expense of everybody else but a few "betters" that they get to pick.

And when these fuckers start shooting at people and that doesn't work out the way they planned and the government, the military and the rest of us shoot back, they'll move the goalposts and lean into it anyway. They'll try to take whatever they think they want at the time from the rest of us, by force.

All they really need is some kind of new religion to justify it, in their own minds. That might take a few generations...but then again, it might not.

Seems like it would just be easier, cheaper, and a whole hell of a lot less bloody if these fucking people could each just gain the self-awareness needed to hire a Dominatrix and a little extra capital for some sort of bullshit hedge fund?

But of course, they can't, or won't, and none of their supposed idols has the least interest in solving this problem because a sated mob ceases to be a mob soon enough.

So these zero-sum sons of bitches just end up ideologically opposed to freedom since they can't be the only ones who get to enjoy themselves and have money as long as things like capitalism or freedom actually exist. The cruelty and the zero-sum bullshit really are the fucking point.

They're still mad about that whole "Age Of Aquarius" thing from the 1960's, so they want to have an Age Of Asmodeus as some kind of bullshit counterpoint. Or as American media would put it, both sides, yo.

Sooner or later, we as a society are going to have to start dealing with this fucking filth.
