It's been 3 years now, since the January 6th Insurrection.

I believe I said so at the time, but I think the things that struck me the hardest about 1/6 were the sheer violent stupidity, the utter disrespect for everything (And I mean this seriously, would somebody that really loves America literally shit all over The People's House?) and the "Look Mom, I'm overthrowing the government" ethic of the Insurrectionists...trust me, an intelligent person does not film themselves doing crimes.

These fucking people...the Unfuckable Dork Brigade, as I called them then...were trying to violently install an Idiocracy.

I saw last night that Tom Fitton, the non-lawyer president of "Judicial Watch" is filing a nuisance lawsuit against the Federal government on behalf of Ashli Babbitt's family, you know, the traitor Air Force veteran who was killed by Capitol Police when she breached a restricted area...and given that her and I likely shared an Air Force Specialty Code...she knew damned well that this was a thing that would likely happen, and that it was wrong. She knew what she was doing, and took the risk anyway...even though she knew what her own training would have called for her to do in such a situation if she herself was on watch. 

Pretty much any lawyer who isn't a Judicial Watch crank knows this, just as well as I do, or better, since I'm not a lawyer.

This isn't a good faith lawsuit, nor has it even been filed with any intent other than further politicizing the issue, and the courts, as if such were possible at this point. I was an Air Force Security Police troop myself, I feel safe saying this lawsuit gets thrown out, or worse. 

These motherfuckers are still trying to bamboozle and manipulate and rules-lawyer Trump back into power...and also, to monetize their efforts at doing so. That by itself should tell you these fucking people's view of their own electoral prospects. 

They don't think they're going to win, so they're trying to bullshit the Universe, again and this is just part of the histrionics involved. They're going to try for another insurrection, perhaps Civil War. It'll fail, but that may not matter much. Somebody's going to try to help them, probably the Russians.

Tom Fitton isn't a Lawyer...he has an English degree. He's just a "Professional Conservative" who makes his living off riling up the Republican Base idiot mob. Mob rule is just fine with these assholes, just so they think the mob is composed of Republicans...and when the mob eats them as mobs tend to eventually do, at least some of these fucking clowns will figure "Well, anything for the Cause, right?" (Yes, I'm thinking of Mike Pence here. Like I said, if my Party sent a mob after me, I'd at least find a different group to join, because fuck all that.)

Republicans, collectively, are still so far up Trump's ass they can look out his mouth when he's saying stupid shit, but I think even that's all bad faith. They all think they're (individually) going to get something for this bullshit, or they wouldn't still be doing it. And too much of America seems just fine with this foolishness.

It's all part of the same national anomie and public ennui that Republicans and other bad actors...not least the far-left...have been sowing for a long time. They don't give a shit if America suffers or is destroyed, and neither do a lot of people who partake of their media and their respective forms of political purity bullshit...a lot of which really is based on getting attention and money, and not a whole hell of a lot more than that.

With Republicans it's all Trump, TRUMP, TRUMP!!! All the time and frankly I don't know how these people can have any self-respect or look in a goddamn mirror anymore, this shit has gotten so stupid. These fucking people literally have no beliefs, no platform other than Rule By Trump, a man whose every public utterance that I've heard of for the last few years has been an increasing level of nonsense from whatever the last thing he said was. It's going to end up that he's a figurehead for darker powers and foreign threats, Actually, I think we're already there and hell, it'll get worse

Trump's brain is basically Jello from bad health habits, dementia and drugs. 

Hell "Trump Smells Like Ass" was trending for weeks on Twitter. Trump doesn't belong in a presidential campaign, he belongs in a nursing home, preferably the kind of state-run, guarded facility they send old criminals to when the prison can't handle their health issues no more. 

And the Republican Party itself isn't far behind him, but it still wants to burn down America for this doddering ass-clown?

For all that, unless they win in November and win by the Saddam Hussein-style fake-election margins their narcissism demands, Republicans are going to try to burn down America again. Civil war, Coup, Insurrection, Right-wing insurgency, whatever. The specifics will change depending on the exact situation, but the truth is, "Conservatives" hate America. We, as a people, need to start preparing to deal with this before it gets worse.

And their next and any subsequent attempts on the life of our country will be worse, count on that. It's going to come down to a fight.

You either believe in freedom or you don't. You either understand this is a fight...as much as anything over whether we want our kids to be free or not...or you don't.

The United States of America was constituted as it was, in the time that it was, to be based on citizenship for a reason. Freedom isn't free, our founders knew that, the hard way.

Donald Trump doesn't want to lead a nation of citizens, he wants to rule a kingdom of ass-kissers, bitches and sycophants and turn the world into an unending narcissistic hand job for himself. Republicans have decided they'd rather be Trump's slaves than be free if Black folks, Latinos, LGBT people etc. are also free.

One of these things is not like the other one, and I'm no longer certain that America can survive as a unified polity when a quarter of our population is stupid enough to think selling itself into slavery will somehow hurt somebody else, so the task may well be saving who we can and salvaging what we can even if we, by election and by laws and ultimately by force of arms, win this fight. 

Hell, Texas is already talking about trying to secede.

Because some of us are literally hell-bent on not being Americans, enough so to sympathize with Putin or to worship Trump. In a democratic society, something like that's going to leave a mark, period. We should have never allowed this mess to happen in the first place.

And the only way to crush that completely now would be to cease being what we are, to give up freedom of thought, in which case the bad guys win anyway

Most of these fucking people aren't terribly picky about how the 100 flowers blooming or the 100 schools of thought contending works out, as long as the end result is some shouty old white guy telling them who to hate. "Conservatives" are terrified it's going to be them...yet when bad things happen they individually roll over and take it (Right, Mike?) if hierarchy, etc. is "preserved" or something. 

But it never occurred to them to believe this paradigm didn't need to exist at all.

That's what we're up against here. These people want to live in The Empire, from Star Wars.

And that's what we need to stop.

Prepare accordingly, and start making bigotry, stupidity and willful ignorance things to be ashamed of again...and all of us need to start making sure shame has teeth. When the shit hits the fan...and it will...do your part. It's really that simple. 

It's what we can do. You want a better country? Be a better citizen.
