Why, why, why, why is it that most of the people who are against abortion are people you wouldn't wanna fuck in the first place? Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're fucked. Conservatives don't give a shit about you until you reach military age. Then they think you're just fine. Just what they've been looking for. Conservatives want live babies so they can raise them to be dead soldiers. Pro-life... pro-life... These people aren't pro-life, they're killing doctors! What kind of pro-life is that? What, they'll do anything they can to save a fetus but if it grows up to be a doctor they just might have to kill it? They're not pro-life. You know what they are? They're anti-woman. Simple as it gets, anti-woman. They don't like them. They don't like women. They believe a woman's primary role is to function as a brood mare for the state. ~George Carlin

"The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride." ~Volodymyr Zelenskyy, allegedly 25 February 2022, Associated Press
I saw this bullshit when I was at work.I'm quite honestly extremely tired of right-wing anti-LGBTQ zealots, and I've had it up to *Here* with these anti-knowledge, anti-library freaks. I was taught to read, and to value learning and knowledge, by conservatives.
Fuck these fucking people.Like, how goddamned narcissistic do you have to be to try to say how the Pope should do Catholic doctrine, or legislate how LGBT people should be treated in the Church? Remember...the Catholic Church ain't just in America and it has to navigate dealing with countries and cultures that have different views of sexuality than our own, not only that, but a fair number of the core Catholic countries have far more expansive views of LGBT rights than a lot of America does. If the Catholic Church is going to get converts in, say, the Philippines, it has to do stuff different there than it would in [for example] Texas.
More to the point, I did the Catholic thing for a minute. It's a simple matter of, Francis is the Pope, Franklin Graham isn't. I thought these fucking people wanted to live in a world where what an absolute monarch says, goes.
The fact that their automatic response is "But not like that" tells you that literally everything these motherfuckers have said they believed for at least 30 years is complete and total bullshit.
And I'm tired of it.
As far as I'm concerned, every last one of these fucking people should...when they get caught having committed crimes (seems to be more of a when than an if lately) be sentenced to have to learn something...and not something of their choice, either. Send the entire goddamned "Conservative" movement back to school. The shit obviously didn't take the first time. Make the motherfuckers read authors like Allen Ginsberg and Toni Morrison. They don't have to like it.
When I first read Che Guevara's The Motorcycle Diaries, I was a conservative Republican, I'd recently been medically discharged from the Air Force, and I was trying my hand at college the first time.
It's called a learning experience.
Hell, maybe I'd just like to argue with people who know what I'm...or what they're...talking about for a change? You have Been Warned, it gets worse from here.
I also saw that the goddamn National Review...of all fucking things...basically has an article up trying to *Checks Notes* get young people to have sex in cars because of *Clears Throat* "Declining Birth Rates."
Not so much a racist dog-whistle as a fucking Air Raid Siren.
Having once been a conservative white teenager, I knew damned well what would happen if I had unprotected sex with a girl in the back of my Blazer and she got pregnant...I was told straight up, that kid would be the 100% financial responsibility of me and my girlfriend and since both our parents were on the same page we also both got told "If you think you're gonna be on welfare...well you ain't gonna be on it and live here." Today's apparent tolerance of teenage parenthood on the Right was not, I repeat NOT a thing in 1992. When I was coming up, both Left and Right viewed a pregnant teen as a tragedy, and most likely at least three lives ruined...one before it even started.
Now?
Well you can start with the "Conservatives" unseemly obsession with the sexual activities of young people, and follow up with their intensifying racism and their creepy desire for some kind of a permanently exploitable underclass. Modern "Conservatism" is a malevolent Idiocracy, and it likes it that way.
What the fuck, yo??
People who want your kids to be hungry and stupid, who want yo babies to be having babies, ain't your friends. I don't even know why this has to be said...it should be that motherfucking obvious.
Like...what the fuck is even wrong with people??
And mind you...this is the National Review, one of the last bastions of the old WASP-y shits and "Respectable" Conservatives...basically advocating for young people to be having sex in the backs of pickup trucks like some dumbass country music song or some shit.
Meanwhile, Taylor Swift...an actual Country music artist...gets called "Radical Left" for advocating for responsible citizenship and voting, for artists and the Arts in general, and for women's empowerment.
Meanwhile, because of people like Taylor Swift and current still ongoing labor struggles...we're finding out just how much of the money musicians and singers and shit make ends up in the pockets of record-label CEO's and that very often...it's the artists who get screwed and don't even have rights to their own stuff after awhile.
It's not in Taylor Swift's interest...or mine, or yours...to have a dumbed-down populace that is easily duped by manipulative CEO's and skeevy rich people. Frankly what this country...and this world...needs is more people like Swift, who when faced with this bullshit do the unexpected thing, rather than the easy thing, and blaze their own trail.
And honestly, I've been to places like Nashville where the "Conservative" mentality is too-often dominant. You know how you find an aspiring Country artist or Gospel singer in Nashville?
"Waiter!"
And that's the kind of world Republicans want to live in, where other people do all the work, they reap all the profits, and all those other people get is fucked over.
More to the point, not only do Republicans collectively see nothing wrong with this...to the point where normal Republican voters seem to expect they should get fucked over, and that Republicans (but only Republicans...and a certain kind of Republican at that) have a right to fuck their shit up for basically no reason other than Power.
These fucking people also basically think anybody who fights back against this kind of shit should get bombed...and that anybody who won't just bow down and submit to the Powerful exercising Power for any or no reason whatever should have their country and their culture destroyed.
And then they get mad when people fight back and don't understand why their own voters have such high rates of drug abuse, overdose, suicide and various other deaths of despair?
Seems like the "Why" here should be obvious.
"The Cruelty Is The Point" is only cool if you're cruel.
It's only profitable if you already have a lot of money, your odds of making more money that way aren't very good, either.
If I not only had nothing, but had lost most of the shit I valued (especially because of bullshit like conservative corporate outsourcing) and all I was being offered was a little racism and maybe the chance to have my boot on somebody else's throat before I died (but only if I was a good little bitch) I'd probably be looking for any possible opportunity to clock out early, too.
I mean, where the fuck is the upside to any of this Republican shit, at this point?
You tell me.
It's Christmas, and all these fucking people can even be bothered to tell you is that; Yes, they'd happily slam the door right in the face of Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus...
And that yes, they'd expect to be treated as the righteous ones for doing so because MAGA is basically pure narcissism.
Just saying, Republicans, one of these things is not like the other one.
And whether you've realized it or not, you picked a side, and it's that of the Abyss, the Bottomless Pit, the Hellfire. Worst part is, you not only don't care, you think marching into Hell is going to Heaven.
And you can choose differently, but you don't want to.
Слава Україна!
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.
And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.
And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. ~Luke 2:1-14
The martyrs of history were not fools, and our honored dead who gave their lives to stop the advance of the Nazis didn't die in vain. Where, then, is the road to peace? Well, it's a simple answer after all. You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, "There is a price we will not pay." There is a point beyond which they must not advance. This is the meaning in the phrase of Barry Goldwater's "peace through strength." Winston Churchill said that "the destiny of man is not measured by material computation. When great forces are on the move in the world, we learn we are spirits — not animals." And he said, "There is something going on in time and space, and beyond time and space, which, whether we like it or not, spells duty. ~Ronald Reagan
