I saw this last night.Next year, the Post Office is going to issue Dungeons & Dragons stamps!
I'm cool with that. I've been a gamer since I was like, ten. To you non-gaming nerds out there, that means First Edition, yo. I got my First Edition PHB, DMG and Monster Manuals for like $10 each at a Toys-R-Us with Christmas money, and then over the next couple months picked up the Deities and Demigods and Manual Of The Planes books in a couple of different stores at the South Coast Plaza mall in Costa Mesa, CA. (And eventually, I had like two big bookcases full of just D&D stuff! I've still got one of 3rd and 4th Edition books and that's after passing on a lot of the books I had backed up in electronic format on to other people. It's just easier to carry them around as electrons on a tablet that fits in my pocket!)
And hell, I just finally broke down and bought all the basic Fifth Edition books and an essentials kit (I've had most of these books in PDF format since 2014-2015 or as they came out after that.)
They'd rather glorify Imperialism, Nationalist Idolatry, Violence and War...and a whole bunch of other stuff Jesus was against, all while doing crazy sexual bullshit and drugs behind closed doors themselves and calling it the "Benefits" of power.

And trust me, the next things they're going to go after directly (in fact, it's already started) are ideas like Citizenship and Freedom themselves. What these assholes really want is Feudalism...and every last goddamned one of these "Conservatives" imagines themselves the Lord on his throne, surrounded by concubines, courtiers and goons, and you and I as the Serfs in the fields with nothing but a Priest and a few soldiers to keep us in line. I'd say there will come a time when these clowns regard *Literacy* as "Woke" but for some of them, at least, that time was five years ago.

Putin's Russia is These Fucking People's prototype, and this crap has been building up since the mid-1990's when Evangelical homophobes, Libertarian economists and White Supremacists started slowly laying the groundwork for this shit...and how's that even going? We're over a year and a half into what was supposed to be a 3-day war and Russia's economy is basically in the sewer at this point.
They're buying outdated ex-Soviet weapons from Iran and North Korea, and copying small Iranian suicide drones is about the limit of Russian mass-production capabilities as regards modern warfare.
So Russia's basic solution is to try and drown the West under a big-enough pile of corpses and "Shock and Awe" us with pure savagery...never mind we're the ones who coined the fucking term. If it wasn't for the demented worshipfulness of a third or so of the global political class and like half of the world's alleged "Conservatives" toward the Hammer and Sickle, Russia wouldn't be the threat that it is right now.
More to the point, if you look at our history here in America, probably the only reason we've never actually resorted to the same kind of mass savagery writ-large is that we're good enough at war itself that we don't have to. Trying to intimidate people is kind of pointless when they're already dead.
And when modern warfare came along and all the Ancient Lands couldn't keep up with change, who saved their ass?? America did.

Hell, if it wasn't for American industry, the Soviet Union would have had a lot worse of a time in their "Great Patriotic War." It's funny how they've forgotten that part.
It pretty much comes down to what kind of world you want to live in, and would you rather live in a world where your government fosters creativity, imagination, innovation and intelligence...and does so for everyone?? Or would you rather live in a world where your government pushes crap on people that was written by old white guys who can't even imagine that a girl would be interested in things like military history??
We've run this experiment a few times, from the US Civil War to World War II...and we're running it again in Ukraine and winding up to run it again here in America. This shit always ends the same way, the motherfuckers lose...because the Darwinian laws of warfare don't care about your politics or racial purity...but you can't tell the motherfuckers anything...because the only imagination they have, or even allow themselves to have, says it's All About Them.
I guess the only question is, how many more people have to die before we say enough is enough with this bullshit and stop tolerating it??
The answer to that question is what we're really voting on next November.
You either believe in civilization and freedom or you don't.
If you only believe that a certain kind of White Man should have this stuff, let alone the imagination to make proper use of it...and then only in a certain way, you don't really believe in either one.
