Confederate Jesus (Left Behind Is A Lie II, One.)

On Christmas Eve, I saw this.

Washed up 1970's "Dukes Of Hazzard" actor John Schneider saying that Joe Biden is in "Big Trouble with God" for somehow not referring to Jesus Christ in the exactly correct fashion nor saying that 'he would run the country according to' [John Schneider's version of] God's "Guidelines."

First off, Bo, the government in our country is secular and does not "run" religion nor allow religion to run this country for a damned reason. It's not only in the core text of the Constitution that no religious test shall be administered for any government position, it's the very First Amendment that says "Congress Shall Make No Law concerning the establishment of religion."

Second, then these sons of bitches positively cannot wait to tell on themselves, by treating overwhelmingly Christian Latino migrants like dirt, dropping them off in freezing weather with nothing, on Christmas Eve. And not only that, but lots of these Christian migrants are from countries like El Salvador and Guatemala and every bit as Protestant as John Schneider claims to be.

Third, nobody gives a shit about your Confederate Jesus.

(Of course Bo doesn't care about any of that, it's all about him. The religious talk is just to fool the feeble-minded.)

Thankfully, somebody called local support orgs and those people got help fairly quickly.

It's not about Jesus, it never was about Jesus. It's not even really about conservatism or even political power anymore. It's all murder-revenge-fantasy, these nuts jacking off to the idea of killing their neighbors. If it was anything other than that, Kyle Rittenhouse would've been run out on a rail the second he started flapping his lips about "Jesus."

It's about the fact that a country and a world they've never given a shit about aren't even pretending to follow what these fucking people say anymore, and they're mad about it. Too damned bad, I say. You idiots never even bothered to try to explain why your way was better, let alone persuade anybody. So, why should anyone follow you? 

This is America, not your church.

Because you'll shoot us? Small problem with that, the rest of us have more guns than you do and there's more of us. And we know how to use ours.

And what's sad about these fucking people is...not only do they not care about Jesus...but one hell of a lot of them would be perfectly fine with declaring Elon Musk as their Lord and Savior.

I mean, I suppose that's what he's got going for him. Since Muskrat is constitutionally ineligible to be President of the United States, Chucklefuck Savior will have to do. He wasn't born here and neither of his parents was a US citizen at the time.

Of course, Dmitry Medvedev probably knows that, he's just trying to be a US-Culture-War Shit-stirrer, which really makes it even more pathetic. And the Russians know the American Right loves them and wants to follow their model of an autocratic state using Power to push a certain view of life and unrestricted ethnic conflict, with a compliant, coopted Church led by the autocrat's agents helping things along.

That's literally the kind of shit America was founded not to be.

Also, did Muskrat pay somebody else to take his citizenship test? He should know this stuff, too!

You cannot have both the Cross of Jesus Christ and the Hammer And Sickle. If Musk is a Christian like he at least nominally claims to be, he should know that.

If you want a better country, you have to be a better citizen. 

If you want a nation that's more Christian, you have to lead by example, not by talking. Respect is earned, by every action, every day. You have to be the person people want to follow...and that's hard work and takes a long time to show even a small effect. I've seen this in life.

But it's not really about any of that, which is why these fucking people want to make laws about it and pull stupid, harmful political stunts on Christmas Eve instead of treating this as the Holy time that it's supposed to be.

They show their own beliefs to be a lie. Republican Jesus gets soggy and hard to light unless somebody gets left behind in the snow.

Don't be like these fucking people.
