I started seeing this yesterday.

The Russians are threatening to detonate nuclear torpedoes in the North Sea and cause a "Nuclear Tsunami" that would hit the British Isles.

Well, first I don't think the physics of it would work that way, Tsunamis are caused by undersea Earthquakes. Second; The UK is also a nuclear power. Choose your next move wisely, Comrades.

But the statement itself isn't really the point. The point is that the Russian media is giving in to its absolutely darkest impulses, and will likely drag the rest of Russia along with it.

And the whole damned reason this crazy shit is happening is because the Russians are losing in Ukraine.

And because all These Fucking People have been fed a diet of Russian-Supremacist propaganda their whole lives...they can't understand why they're losing. A hell of a lot of them can't cope, apparently. This, even though they all likely see the blatant corruption, incompetence and mass theft that's causing their army to lose every damn day, when they go to work and shit. Of course I don't doubt that a lot of them don't believe it all, either, but too many of them are cynical, and passive, because there's no concept of Truth in their society for them to even start pushing back against Power.

Thus, the Ukrainians pay the price and thousands of Ukrainians, civilians and soldiers alike, people from every walk of life; have fought back and have become martyrs in the cause of freedom.

Meanwhile, while one of our closest historical allies gets threatened with attack by Nuclear Tidal Wave, and another ally fights for its culture, people and right to exist...American "Conservatives" continue to view "Cancel Culture" as some kind of great threat. And apparently, people like Scott Adams AKA The Nazi Dilbert Guy...are determined to martyr themselves against the evils of Western Capitalism (Because what is "Cancel Culture" but a function of Capitalism?) as if they think they're Iraqi Sunni suicide bombers facing down Abrams Tanks, the Regime's Shi'a soldiers and US Marines in it dusty towns of Al-Anbar. 

Seriously, a few less people buying their crap because of their shitty behavior isn't some bad thing. 

The whole damn point of capitalism is you're supposed to be able to spend your money how and where you want. What Scott Adams and his fellow "Conservatives" are saying is they think you should have no choice but to buy their products, indeed, that the State should mandate it because something something Gazpacho.

I seem to remember that being referred to as Communism and Something Something Ronald Reagan Tear Down This Wall...Communism = Bad.

I hate to burst Scott's bubble, but dude, nobody cares. Dilbert has never been all that funny and its popularity peaked like 25 years ago.

More to the point, even more of Nazi-Bert's non-existent thunder was stolen by the normal weekly newspaper cycle. Weekday cartoon strips have always been black-and-white line drawings.

How the fuck a cartoonist who's syndicated in a bunch of newspapers would forget that, or not know it in the first place, I'll never understand.

More to the point, the new character appears to have been created solely to get in a very uncreative dig against Transgender people that nobody but angry, staid old white conservatives will think is funny anyway.

Seriously, LGBT people tend to actually be pretty good at this kind of thing, unlike Scott Adams. I haven't really looked but there's probably a fair number of dunks on him already, and the best part is most of them were instant and spontaneous and didn't have to be thought about for a week nor make some stupid political point.

More to the point, some stupid shit that some overhyped weirdo then thought he'd be some kind of martyred (?!) for?

And the sad part is, most people...not least much of the intended audience and those the dig is aimed at...will even notice, because who the fuck reads newspapers anymore?

I only even caught it because "Scott Adams" was trending on Twitter.

And it was like a train wreck, I had to look.

But anyway, in honor of Scott Adams and his failed attempt at Culture War right-wing Jihadism (on Eid, no less! Although I don't think he's aware enough to note that.) the Black Standard will substitute for the daily Hammer and Sickle today.

No offense to actual observant Muslims intended. That said, Yes, I'm sure I'm going to hell.

But if people like Scott Adams are the ones going to heaven I'll consider it an upgrade. Seriously, I always thought right-wing Jihadism...once they got around to it...would be less pathetic.

Seriously, y'all, we've got a lot of real problems in this world. We don't need to just make up new ones so we can feel like we're "Doing something."

The only "Freedom" Scott Adams cares about is the freedom to be a bigot. He's been a Putin Stan that I know of since at least 2015.

If you want to have a better country, you have to be a better citizen...and that ain't it.
