Operation Glory Hole (World War Q, Part VI.)

Apparently, the Russians have pulled back some troops and scaled back their war rhetoric a bit. Good.

Now keep at it, because historically they pull some back, but then attack anyway.

That said, the Biden administration and NATO seem to be keeping their eye on the ball in that way and not backing down. Also, Good.

But at the same time, cyberattacks against Ukraine have continued, which makes me wonder if they're going to follow their usual doctrine of pulling some forces back, but then attacking anyway.

Certainly, they have the force to do it, if that's hat they want.

But the Ukrainians have given every indication of being ready and willing to fight, 

And that, in and of itself, is likely a determining factor in all this.

Assuming this doesn't blow up all the way, they're still going to have to maintain this defensive posture, and accelerate strengthening ties with the EU working toward NATO membership...and if the experience of other former East Bloc countries is any indication, reorienting to Western equipment and suppliers is going to come with a monster price tag and a lot of old US gear,  but over the long term in has to be done. 

These people are going to have to be on guard, basically forever. And so are we, to be honest. Think about how fucked up that is, that Putin is basically (at best) going to return the world to a Cold War footing.

But that's better than the alternative. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance. 

And don't you forget it, either.

But people are stepping up. 

The Trucker Fucker "Protesters" in Windsor have been basically neutralized between the Police and regular people disrupting their communications as they try to strategize to deal with Justin Trudeau's national emergency declaration.

They were using an unsecured app, then a Twitter chat and they got infiltrated by a bunch of people saying over the top dumb shit and spamming the feeds with the gay cowboy anthem "Ram Ranch" to the point where it effectively destroyed their communications.

LOL, just...LOL. Idiots. I'm thinking of Harris and Proctor from the Police Academy movies, but cosplaying as revolutionaries.

Operation Glory Hole is apparently not resulting in a happy ending.

If these people ever try to start a Civil War they're going to embarrass themselves, and a whole bunch of them will get killed...and if they succeed in breaking off a piece of America for themselves it'll probably be pretty small and the reason it'll exist is because they picked one or more places that the rest of us figured weren't worth going in after them for.

Imagine making a grand play for world domination and then ending up with Idaho. 

Then having to negotiate from a position of weakness with two much larger hostile powers, and by definition having to raise taxes astronomically just to provide even the most basic of services...and forget any level of serious military power. 

That shit costs too much and you don't even get to keep the 388th Fighter Wing, much less the standard of living you already had.

You get AK-47's and Toyota Hilux pickup trucks

These are people who cried like bitches at the merest inconvenience during the height of the Pandemic, who are still rabidly opposed to getting a shot or wearing a mask.

Even though it would be far easier not to be.

There is...or should be...a lesson there. Trouble is these assholes would be fine with being an American equivalent to Transnistria, so long as there weren't very many Brown people or LGBT people there.

What gets me...is they'd probably be stuck with their primary source of, well, everything, being that they would act as an entry point to the West for Putin's oligarchs in a renewed Cold War.

In our modern world these people set themselves up for failure right out the gate because they don't want to live with what the modern world even is.

And in Ottawa, the locals have taken it upon themselves to start blockading the Trucker Fuckers so they can't get into downtown.

I think the Right is going to find out the hard way that Canada was a bad country to pick a fight with and shit on their war memorial, after all.

I think there's a lesson there, but will they heed it? 

I don't think so. They'd have to pull their heads out of their own asses first.

After all, these people are proving themselves to be mostly ignorant of or uncaring about our own system. 

Why should we expect them to know anything about the British Common Law and Commonwealth systems under which Canada operates?

The Charter Of Rights And Freedoms is pretty expansive, but it ain't quite our Bill Of Rights. 

And like it or not, there's some fairly sound reasons for that.

These idiots are comparing themselves to Martin Luther King Jr. and saying that the truckers being targeted is like MLK being thrown in jail.

But MLK went to jail many times, what, did they think Letters From A Birmingham Jail was written sitting in the waiting room?

Of course, when you start off with the thought that Donald Trump is the only one speaking the truth, well then, you're an idiot.

Especially considering that the next thing these idiots do is continually let some lying jerkoffs like the Trump family just keep blatantly hoovering money out of their pockets and then equally blatantly just pocketing the money.

Why we, as a country, are putting up with this horse shit, I don't know and I'll never understand. I mean, this is ridiculous.

This crap has to stop, I'm tired of it and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

But all we really have to do is hold firm, be prepared to fight, and in general stand up to these people and their bullshit.

These people's revolution, if they try it, will be less the Night Of The Long Knives and more the Day Of The Short Dicks. But it'll still get people killed needlessly.

And that's a tragedy. That we have allowed people to become this stupid is a crime.

And this war, if it's still coming, will still be hell.

And it'll break a lot of these people. No, that's not a good thing. It's just sad.

It's hard to be brave when you've forced yourself to live in fear all the time, and too many of these people will find out the hard way you can't turn that shit off.
