I saw this last night.

It's been two years and these fucking people are still going off about COVID-19 restrictions and having to wear a mask. Was it inconvenient or uncomfortable? Sure. 

But it wasn't the Mark Of The Beast, which is simply Bible-speak for acceptance of the false system of the World over belief in spiritual things.

Did I like it?? No, not really. But I knew enough people who'd be likely to die if they got the virus that I did it. I didn't value my own opinion over other people's lives.

The reason I got vaccinated was so I wouldn't have to wear a damn mask all the time. In the job that I had back then it was hot and miserable, but I still didn't want to get sick (And I haven't, yet.)

Also, I give a shit about other people and wouldn't want it on my conscience that somebody got sick and died because of me.

Ya know, kind of for the same reason that despite the fact that I'm a veteran and thus technically I am a trained killer, I'm also glad that I served during peace and didn't have to kill anybody.

Like, seriously. I used to be a Christian and a conservative and I can't help but wonder whatever happened to "Thou Shalt Not Kill?"

Are we just straight-up ignoring the Bible these days??

Like yesterday somebody shot a black kid, twice, through their door. If they really were that afraid or even simply didn't want to deal with the kid wouldn't it have been simpler to just not answer at all?

Whatever happened to simply ya know, rudely answering the door? 

It usually works to make Mormons and other door-to-door Evangelists go away, although I did try everything and finally have to threaten to call the cops on some Baptists (from a different Baptist church than the one I went to) after a few weeks.

In what world is knocking on somebody's door...whether you got the right place or the wrong place...worthy of deadly force?

Who in the fuck complains about other people having the right not to be lynched??

Maybe it's just me and I know I'm old school but I'd think it'd be implied in, ya know...life? Like if you actually believe in God and the Ten Commandments and all that stuff, why would this even be a question?

Tell me something, really. Look around you; Who is it that's doing the things, engaging in the kinds of behavior, that the Bible describes in Revelation. And who do those people support, and who supports them?

Who's the people who have, or even show an interest in, a totalitarian mentality, seriously??

Of our two main political groups, which is the one that seems to have an interest in industrial-scale murder? At least, when it comes to people that they don't "Like?"

Maybe it's just me but it sure seems like the more "Christian" and "Conservative" and particularly the more Christian Nationalist or religiously Fundamentalist a government, people group or regime is trying to be, the more likely it is that they're engaging in mass cruelty, evil, murder and perversion on a scale that would shame the Beast of Revelations itself.

This seems to be equally true whether the people in question are Republicans or Russians, lately.

But I repeat myself, seems like.

The longer this goes on, the more likely that the Devil Himself is going to one of these days be sitting on his throne in Hell, watching the news on a giant flat-screen plasma TV, drinking a margarita out of a chalice made from a human skull, shaking his head saying "That's fucked up, man. That's just fucked the hell up."

Or maybe Old Scratch just heard about the scandal of Ali Alexander of the J6 Insurrection, MAGA and "Stop The Steal" requesting nudes from teenage boys so he had "Jack-off material."

I mean, come on, what the fuck?!?!?!

And I'm going to remind you yet again that Ali Abdul-Razaq Akbar (dude's real name) is allegedly a Catholic far-right "Conservative" Trumpist whose dubious education includes having attended Criswell College, a Baptist school in Texas. 

He's also very against MTG for some reason or other, allegedly on moral grounds...but then he turns around and does this kind of shit. I mean, what the fuck, dude?

I absolutely hate Marjorie Taylor Greene but as far as I know all her hypocritical adulterous BS has at least involved consenting adults.

Seriously, I don't know how the fuck a weird little authoritarian dickbag paper-pusher bully like Ron DeSantis ever thought he was somehow going to leverage the location of one Disney theme park in Florida into somehow gaining control of the entire company, stealing it from the people who already own it and turning it into some kind of Christian Nationalist Republican propaganda machine...not least because if these assholes somehow did manage to pull all this off without getting legally prison-fucked by Disney's crack team of lawyers first, most of Disney's core audience would simply...watch something else...because that's how it works?

And as soon as that bit hard enough the various sub-brands like LucasArts and Pixar etc. would have to get sold off to replace lost revenue and wouldn't the new owners just start generating more content again?

If you read between the lines, what the Christian Nationalist and Republican "End Times Narrative" really means is that they think it'll be their "End Times" when more of the world has liberal values.

If that's true, nothing of value will be lost and I say that as a former Christian and former Republican.

Like, seriously, Republicans...nobody has to listen to what you say. Your beliefs are not some law of the Universe. You need to stop mistaking your bamboozled, hateful and/or propagandized base that'll tolerate literally anything for the rest of us who won't.

We're not Russians, we don't have to put up with it and you don't have a thousand years of history justifying the excesses of incestuous aristocrats and powerful thuggish rulers to hide behind nor a populace conditioned to put up with all that kind of shit. Nor do you have a horde of Cossacks to protect you.
